Looking for info about Country Inns & Suites LBV? Is it an ok choice for 1night before checking in at WL?

Are you talking about the CI-LBV on Apoka?

I have ressies there for one night in Oct and asked the same question awhile back ago. It's close to the entrance of Downtown Disney and it's a good price.

I received all good reviews, most Country Inns are nice.

Happy trails!

we stayed at the one on Apopka Vineland for 1 night lsat year. The pool is smallish, but the room was nice, and the breakfast good. Staff was nice.

what rate are you getting?

We are staying there in May, and got a rate of $35 with the Orlando Magicard. I will be looking for reviews too.

Ncbyrne--just to clear it up. The OP is talking about the Country Inns & Suites-LBV on Apoka.

The Magicard rate for $35 is for the Comfort Inn-LBV.

So many hotels with the same initials or names, oi vay!

:)

for $44 on Hotelkingdom
May be different for your dates tho

Thanks for your help! I booked a $49.00 rate through their
website.
If anyone has any comments on this hotel please post.
Thanks:)

dspero--

I hesitate to post this because the last time I posted our experience at the CIS-LBV I was the only one with a negative opinion! But here it is, for what it's worth. We also got an excellent rate here--under $40/night as I remember. We stayed only one night at the end of our trip, last Dec. We had been in a 2 bdrm condo all week prior to our stay here and we checked in late--after 9:00pm--so both of those things may have contributed to our dissatisfaction.

Anyway, we thought the room was dark, worn, and the decor strange--we were put into a kids' suite and the wall around the kids area had a wall paper border with what looked like "alien eyeballs" on it--facing out into the rest of the room. The bathroom door handle was falling off and the tub floor had a weird slant to it which both DH and I noticed. The breakfast was okay.

Bottom line...maybe we got an older room. Had we been staying for more than one night we would have definitely asked for a change. We have stayed in worse places...but DH refuses to stay here again. Will you be okay here for one night? Probably, but check in early and/or if you're not happy with the room change it! Good luck!

I'm confused.. Are the OP (and you) talking about the Country Inn's & Suites on Calypso Cay? If so, there is no way the rooms could have been "old & worn" as that hotel is only about 3 years old..

C.Ann,

No, we're talking about the CI&S that's located on Apopka-Vineland, closer to the DTD area. The CI&S at Calypso Cay is a newer property that's a little further away from WDW. The reviews on the Calypso Cay CIS have been pretty good--we almost tried it last Nov. (had reservations, then cancelled) but found a much better deal that we couldn't pass up.

Oh - I see!

Right now I'm looking at the Amerisuites for February (less than $50 a night WITH taxes included!!) and that property is in the Calypso Cay group..

Let's just hope they really have the rooms available when I try to make my reservations through hotelkingdom.com!!

Thanks for clarifying.. :)

I am staying at the Amerisuites Caylpso Cay for 1 day early next month. I will try to remember to post how it is. It looks nice on the website, and I also got it for $44 on Hotelkingdom(minus my $10 rate champion credit)

We stayed here for three nights in the beginning of sept. It was a great hotel, rooms very nice, we had a small frige and micro in our room, not sure if we were upgraded, had a pool view, 5th floor. The breakfast was good, could use better coffee system. The Pool is really nice, we enjoyed the pool each day. Price through HK was about 49.00 per night.

We stayed at the one on Calypso Cay as well, last year.

We REALLY enjoyed the hotel! It's quiet, wonderful zero entry pool, and close to lots!

We were doing a almost "non-disney" trip.

How is that Comfort Inn? anyone know? Also what is the web site for Country Inn and Suites, I can't seem to find it.
Thanksprincess:

This is where the confusion comes in with initials.

Country Inn-Lake Buena Vista=CI-lbv
Comfort Inn-Lake Buena Vista=CI-lbv

I think the OP meant the Country Inns & Suites-lbv on Apopka-Vineland rd. What happens when this hotel is brought up, is it gets confused with the OTHER Country Inn- at Calypso Cay.

Depending on your dates, you can get the $35 Magicard rate at the Comfort Inn-Lbv and not at the Country Inn-Lbv.

Also, you may be able to get the Country Inn-Calypso Cay for $44 on Hotelkingdom.com

Hi just returned from our 1night stay at country inns & suites in LBV (Apoka Vineland Rd). The hotel was fine, no real complaints.
At $49 and free continental breakfast, I would say it is a bargain. The room was clean and hotel was well kept. Pool was small, but ok. I can't say I would trade it for a Disney resort, but for doing stuff outside the disney parks it was perfect.
The rest of our stay was at WLV and it was great!!!!!
We stayed our last night at the LBV Hilton, which was ok, the location to downtown Disney was good. But for the $ the Country Inns was a better deal. (the rooms were comparable.)

okay, I booked the Country Inn and suites Calypso Cay for this weekend at $43.88 on Hotel Kingdom. Any comments on this particular one? How is the location? I still can't find their own web site.
