Info on Cedar Point

My family is planning a trip there this summer. Since I got such great info for WDW and have seen people chatting about Cedar Point I thought I would ask for Info. Such as: 1 day or 2 day visit? How is their campground? Discount tickets, what else is there to do in the area, etc. Thanks in advance!!

I live close enough that we have never stayed on the camp grounds. You could easliy do 2 days at the park.

One ticket you should look into is the ride and slide. It is good for two days admission to both the waterpark and the themepark so you can hop back and forth between the two. Its a good deal and cheaper than buying 2 days worth of tickets.

You can do the park in a day, but there is enough to do the park in 2 days

You definatly need at least 2 days to do the park. We go several times a year and camp. Personally, I am not that impressed with CP's campground, the older section has very small sites with electrical hook-up only and no tents allowed and is about $55/night. The bathrooms also tend not to be very clean. The newer section is nice and has full-hook ups, but is very pricy at $75/night. This campground does not allow campfires, bikes or rollerblades. There is a nice pool with a zero depth play area out by the lake. We stay here only when we are camping with family or in the fall when the weather could be cool, and we might need to warm up mid-day.

We found a nice campround just pass the causeway, that is much nicer, called Bayshore estates. www.mhdcorp.com/bayshore_rates.html. This campground is 1/10th of a mile past the causeway and is very easy to get to. The sites are bigger and full-hook up is only $50/night during peak season.
This campground is cheaper and is cleaner than CP's. We have stayed here several times and have always found the bathrooms to be clean and well maintained. The campground does allow tents and campfires, bikes and rollerblades. The pool is an ordinary pool but looks well maintained.
