Info needed on family viewing on Main St

I think I read that you don't need a park ticket to enter MK to watch runners on Main St. Is this correct? So is the best way for my family to park at Epcot, take monorail to TTC and then switch to MK monorail, watch on Main St and then back to Epcot for the finish?

Yes, and I would say t5hat is a good plan on getting to MK and back.
