I am wondering how difficult it is to book a GV at BWV at the 7 month window. We would like to stay there for the second week in November 2006 but don't have sufficient BWV points.

can you borrow from next years?

I would go ahead and make as many days as you can - be sure to start with Sun-thurs - fri/sat will be available later than sun-thurs.

It is food/wine festavial - so it is a high demand time for the BWV.

Sad to say that even with BWV points from three years we won't have enough. :scratchin Will need to rely on some of our VWL points too.

Can you rent or trade your VWL points for BWV points?

With only 9 GVs at BWV, I would think waiting until 7 months would be pretty difficult.

do you have enough points for sun-thurs - 395 points

if you do I won't even worry about fri/sat. I am pretty sure you can get them at the 7 month time - if you still want to use your points. I might be tempted to pay cash and rent my points.

$1,595 vs 96 points on second though you are better using points....

There are only 7 grand villas at BWV, 5 one floor and 2 two floor. I don't think your odds would be good at 7 months.

I made our reservations for a GV for Oct 06 at the 11 month window and when I called back a week later to see about adding a day, the CM said that there was only one room left. Apparently, even though they are the most expensive, the GV's tend to go out the quickest...sorry!

Yes we made October '06 ressies for GV at the 11-month window as well. Rented additional points on the Rent/Trade board here to do it...that's what I would do in your case if a GV is an absolute necessity.

Thanks for the replies. It probably is as I thought it would be - difficult.

I think I will hop over to the rent and trade board to see if a trade can be set up. Thanks for that tip, it's one option I had not thought of. ;)

Just back from a WONDERFUL stay in an OKW Grand Villa...during Food and Wine Festival. I booked part of our stay at 11 month window (it's our home resort) but did not book the last night (plans changed) till about 3-4 months out and had no problem. I know some people think OKW is too remote to be worth it but, for us, it was pure heaven! And check out the points required for the OKW Grand Villa versus BW. A possibilty for you?
