Good one, RentDVC!!
In the same POS referenced by Dean (5/93), there is another interesting reference :
Under Reservation Procedures #1, b.
The Home Resort Wait List. In the event that another DVC Resort is associated with the club (other than the Condominium) and Merber Services experiences an unanticipated high level of use demand for a given DVC Resort, Member Services may decide from time to time to establish a special Home Resort Wait List for the purpose of allowing Club Members to have an additional opportunity to reserve Use Days at their Home Resort, pursuant to the following procedures:
(1) In the event that a Club Member is unable to reserve accommodations at his Home Resort during the limited Home Resort priority period, his name would be placed on the Home Resort Wait List and Member Services would continue to search during the initial 30-day priority period and the remainder of the Use Year for a reservation. Any accommodation that becomes available at the Home Resort due to cancellations during the remainder of the Use Year will be offered to Club Members on the Home Resort Wait List before being offered to any Club Members on the Extend List or the Wait List.
(2) If the Club Member's request is not fulfilled from the home Resort Wait list, then the Club Member would have the opportunity to remain on the Home Resort Wait List for the following calendar year.
(3) In the following year, those Club Members whose Home Resort requests are pending from the prior year will have a first come, first served priority for reservations prior to the initial 30-day Home Resort priority period.
Additional Home Resort Wait List restrictions may also be implemented by Members Services from time to time, including but not limited to the following:
- A Club Member may have only one listing on the Home Resort Wait List at one time.
- A Club Member may only utilize the Home Resort Wait List once every two years.
- A Club Member may not be placed on the list to receive the same Use Days two years in a row.
The POS can be a very interesting read!
