Hello...I am looking for some advice, info and observations from anyone who has done SW-AQ-BGT the week of Thanksgiving. (We've been to WDW over Christmas...but never have even been in Orlando in November.)
My sister and I will be traveling from Virginia the Tuesday before with our 6 & 7-year-old sons and driving home on Sunday morning. I've been SW-AQ-BGT before, so we're not complete strangers! We have plat. passes from BGW.
We haven't decided on hotel, etc.
TIA!

last year we did BG and SW the week of thanksgiving. SW on THanksgiving and the day after. BG earlier in the week. It wasn't bad at all. SW was great the day after because the Christmas shows start that night. Neither park was crazy busy. We did SW the Thanksgiving of the year previous to this as well and it was great!!!

Thanks "mom"!
I had no idea what to expect crowd wise...I have heard it is crazy at Wdw that week, so I did not know if that translated to a full house at SW...we have been to SW at Christmas, I know the shows and activities are wonderful.
If we do the ADD, I didn't want to have the door and around the corner lines. Do they have any special meals on Thanksgiving day? I would settle for a holiday special at EOS, but my sis will want a "real" meal! Ha!

My family is also coming down from Virginia for the week of Thanksgiving :) And we are planning on hitting SeaWorld on Thanksgiving day. (driving from Cocoa Beach, so checking weather status to select exact day) So I am very interested on the crowds! We did WDW last year a few days after thanksgiving for the weekend, and it wasn't as bad as I expected, but worse than it usually is.
I haven't been to SW in 10+ years, so we are very excited!!!

Add me to the list of people from Virginia going to SW. We take the AutoTrain on T-day and go to SW on BF, Sat and Sun. So excited!

actually that IS NOT TRUE.the Christmas shows started the Friday before Thanksgiving last year NOT the Friday AFTER. the same goes for this year.

To get an idea of which days they have thee christmas shows if you look at the calender the days the park closes at 9 or later is a day for christmas shows. They do start before thanksgiving. During this time they are on weekends only later closer to christmas they will be all week long.

This also is not true. Christmas shows this year are scheduled to start on Saturday, November 23.

We've been to SW & BG over Thanksgiving break (but not ON Thanksgiving). They are nowhere near as busy as WDW. It was a nice change!
