My family and I are staying at RPR for the first time in July. (Last one to try. Thought why not!) I have been reading some of the post, but can't seem to find any info. on Islands restaurant. I would love to have your opinions on all 3 meals. Sometimes we are in the mood to just hang around the Resort, and want to know what to expect eating there.

By the way, before everyone says go to Tchoup, Tchoup instead, we have eaten there and although we love Emeril's at Citywalk and have ressies there for 2 nights in July, we didn't care for Tchoup, Tchoup. Maybe it's just what we ordered, although we did try 4 different entrees and 4 different desserts.

Any and all input is appreciated!:Pinkbounc

I can't give you any info on Lunch at the Islands Dining Room but my friend and I ate breakfast and dinner there this weekend and we give both two thumbs up! ::yes::

You can order from a breakfast menu or you can get the buffet (which is cheaper in the long run!). We did the buffet and everything was very good. There was a nice selection. For dinner we didn't actually eat in the dining room, we got our meal to go because we were tired and wanted to just relax in the room for awhile. We just went to the hostess desk and asked if we cuold get something to go and she gave us the menu and then took our order which was brought out to us in about 15 minutes. My friend got a pepperoni pizza and I got the grilled chicken fettucini alfredo. My meal was VERY good and she liked her pizza too. We will definitely eat there again. :)

The breakfast buffet is really good. Just about anything you could want,, plus you can have omelettes made to order as well. It's a nice spead of fruits, pastries, (those darn cinnabon type things) scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, and more.

I have ordered off the menu for lunch and dinner,, and I cant' recall every being disappointed.

We also like Jake's American Bar and Grill,, the theming there is alot of fun. :)

Either one is nice,, with a good selection of healthy options, as well as steak etc.

enjoy :)

We ate at the islands for dinner and it was a pleasant experience the food and service was good:jester:

My family does not wish to return to Tchoup Chop. We are having an anniversary celebration for my mom and her husband while staying at RPR and due to some mobility limitations will likely stay on site for dinner. What is the recommend for a celebration dinner, Jake's or Island's?

I would probably do Islands. Jake's menu does have some of the same things as the menu at Islands,, but Islands does have a more extensive menu variety. For that reason I would do Islands.

Love Islands, but if its Lu ch why not just eat at The Bula Grill at the pool food is good

Lol
We liked Jakes, and the backstory and theming in the restaurant is good too.

I stay at rpr and that makes it easy for me to go to Island Dining Room.

Last October I got the schedule for Wok night to make sure I would not miss it.
The times it is available is limited.
Well worth it!

Other than that, I do eat there again for the dinner hour and always get the mongolian beef.
Has to be one of my favorite meals there.

One thing I like about Islands is they open early for breakfast.
Most times I do the buffet and get a little of this and that.

This is one restaurant that allows discounts if you have the AP.

Jakes I always hit late night.
The closed last year at 2:00 am which fit my schedule well.

Loved the buffet at Islands. The waitress was wonderful as well! We are there in 2015 and my kids still remember it and wanna go back when we go down in a few days.
