Inflatable(s) - Rafts

This will probably be the dumbest question I ask (and I believe I already know the answer); however, you're all so knowledgeable I thought I'd get your confirmation. I know you are not allowed to have inflatables on the ship but am I allowed to bring on a raft, not blown up obviously, and bring it with me to the beaches? Again, dumb question. But you never know. Thanks!

As long as it is not Castaway Cay (not allowed) and the beach you do go to allows it.

They are on the prohibited list so it is possible they could see it in your luggage and confiscate it, but that's probably unlikely to happen. You should be fine to bring it to use on other beaches, provided the beach you are going to allows them.

According to the website on what's not allowed on the ship and Castaway Cay:

• Kites, balloons, surfboards, wave boards, inflatable floats, pool noodles, inflatable pools and wagons

So not sure if what you are referring to falls into that category!

I wouldn't use it on Castaway. I was thinking about non-DCL trips to beaches once off the ship.

Kinda thinking it would have to be a manual blow up type or hand pump, any cylinders with air or some gas would likely not pass inspection.

Also, those rafts are really hard to fully deflate and fold up. It would be clumsy to have around after you used it and try to get packed. Is it really worth it?

We brought a dollar store one and used it for St Thomas I believe it was. Just an air mattress type. It was pretty handy. When we were ready to leave we gave it to a kid who was very happy to receive it, as was his mom.

Huh, I didn't know this and took one still in the box with us on our trip in April. We used it Castaway Cay and then deflated it before getting back on the ship.
