Pretty simple - my kids like to go out on the water in little rowboats or canoes when we go to campgrounds, local lakes etc to paddle around. So I had the idea of getting them one of those inflatable fishing rowboats. Something we can transport fairly easily and not invest too much money in. Is this a stupid idea?

Something like this:

Has anyone had one of these? Any advice other than the obvious safety things (lifejackets, supervision, easy waters) or what to look for when purchasing?

For the price, I doubt you can go wrong. At the end of the day, fold it up and stick it in your trunk. You can buy those in the store for about the same price and save the shipping cost.

That's for sure. I just don't want the kids (12 and 15 btw) rowing to the middle of the lake then sinking to the bottom  . Just wondering how durable they are and what features might make one better than another.

Thanks! And yea, with a Cabela's down the road, we won't have this shipped.
