We called tonight to get a quote on a price of their "reasonable" infant fares... we paid 49$ each way... So I thought hey maybe it would be good to put the little guy in a seat if they are even cheaper... :lmao: I was quoted a price of 129$ EACH way??:rotfl: does this sound right?? :confused3 Can I just buy my under 2 yr old son a reg. seat at $49???

The "infant fare" is based on regular refundable fare, I believe, so that is why it costs more.

By all means, purchase your child the regular adult cheap fare! That is what we do.

Yes you can buy a regular seat.

The Infant Fare is meant as a useful discount in situations where you purchase seats at the last minute, such as for an emergency trip, or in situations where you want the fare to be fully refundable.

Note that if you do purchase an Infant Fare you cannot use online checkin to check in for the flight and get a BP for that passenger. Better all round to buy a sale fare if you have time to plan ahead.

I really only called because it says they will preboard you, so you have time to put the seat in... if I buy a 49$ fare will they still preboard me? there is NO way I'm paying over $260 for him to have a seat when my lap will work fine for him!

You will absolutely be able to preboard with an infant, whether you have purchased him a seat or not.
