Does anyone know if there are some restrictions on whether or not the characters can hold young children (5 months) for a picture or is it left up to the parents to decide? I would love to get a pictures of Mickey, Minnie and Goofy holding my son.

The characters aren't allowed to hold infants being that it's hard to feel exactly what they're holding thru the gloves they wear. I'm not sure about the characters (like the princesses) who don't wear gloves though.

I also read that they can't hold them but at Epcot Tigger took our dd 1 yo, he squatted down and kind of bounced her on his knee......she thought this was great. Mickey sat at our table at Chef Mickeys and feed her breakfast....she loved all these characters. The Princesses can hold them but our dd wanted nothing to do with them.

I have pictures of my sons when they were around 6 months (different visits). Donald Duck loved ds and wanted to keep him. He sat on a bench and had me place him on his lap. He gave him tons of hugs and held him for a couple of minutes. My older ds got very upset that Donald wanted us to go away and keep his little brother. I also have a picture of Mickey with my youngest ds on his first trip. Mickey also sat down to hold him. I think that some characters will hold them if they have the time and a safe place to sit.

All the characters sat down and held the baby girl next to us at Chef Mickeys. She was 3 months old. They seemed particularly attentive there, even though it was christmas week. Mickey came to our table 6 times!

Several characters sat down on the floor to hold my DD when she was 8 months. I have some adorable photos! FOr others, either me or my DH would hold her and get in the photo. I'm sure you'll get some cute shots. Evven when my DH was holding her, I'd get cute pics of her reaching up to Mickey's nose and things like that.

Enjoy!

we took my son when he was 5 months old and I was surprised that Mickey held him while standing (where they take pics back by his house in MK). Any other pictures the characters kneeled down to hold the baby. I have the cutest pic of Cinderella down on the floor holding the baby with my daughter sitting on her dress looking up at her.
