We got free dining for our trip this October and chose the water park option over park hopper. Now I'm worried we might not actually enjoy a water park with a 3 month old, almost 2 year old and 6 year old. Which one is best for little kids and is there anything at all a 3 month old can safely do? I saw plenty things with no height, but can babies actually do those?

i think so they have life jackets for everyone at water parks i think the waterpark will have something fun for all ages

I've only been to Typhoon Lagoon but I'm struggling to think if anything would be good for a 3 month old. Even the lazy river would be hard with a 3 month old and almost 2 year old. Mostly because around the river there are water fall areas and spray zones where people not in your party can spray you plus the "leaks and pipes" that spray as well. There are little splash pad areas that may be fun but not sure.

October is also a time of the year where it may just be cold for the little ones. I would shy away from Blizzard beach because the water is kept chilly to stay with the theme that it is melted snow. It is nice and refreshing during the summer but seems like it would be super cold in October.

I agree with PP that a water park is going to be very difficult with a 3 month old. Blizzard Beach has an area that would be appropriate for your 2 year old, but outside of that area, Tike's Peak, I wouldn't feel comfortable with a young toddler. Even areas without a height restriction such as the river and wave pool would make me uncomfortable with a 2 year old. Especially at Typhoon where the wave pool is very rough. The infant is going to be almost impossible to take anywhere except sitting in the shade and maybe sitting in your lap in the very shallow area of the toddler area. They should have life vests for your toddler, but they are first come first serve. I don't believe there would be anything small enough for a 3 month old. I would save the water park for another trip.

I doubt it would be cold. We always go the end of September or early October. Lowest daytime temp we've seen is 85.

I had my doubts but knew we wouldn't use the park hopper. We might just have one of us take the oldest and the other keep the little ones at the resort

We will also be bringing a three-month old, but not to the water parks. One of my concerns is that babies that young are not supposed to wear sunscreen, so I would be worried about a sunburn. I think you would be better off having one adult take the oldest while the other naps with the two younger ones.

We took our 5 month old on the family raft ride and in the lazy river. There are lots of shady areas where you can take turns sitting with the baby. It's not that much fun for whoever is taking care of baby but your other kids will have fun!

I didn't take DS to Blizzard Beach until he was 6 and a strong swimmer. They have life vests, but the slides can be quite intense and the area for the smaller children is really small. I, personally, could not spend my entire day there looking after a 3 months old and a 2-year old (if the plan is for your DH to take your 6-year old on the slides).

I agree with you, I would either let DH take your 6-year old alone or switch to the park hoppers and try to utilize them somehow so you aren't wasting your money. You may actually want to see if a room-only discount with base tickets and dining added is a better option for you. If you aren't using the hoppers or the water park feature, you are spending too much for those tickets.

A 3 month old is too young for a water park. I would be worried about a child that young inadvertently swallowing the water and then getting sick. You can probably switch to park hoppers instead.
