Looking for Disney non-theme park free or inexpensive activities:

So far I have this:
1. Going to the Poly and watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks…followed by the electrical water pageant (FREE)

2. Down town disney

3. Going to Fort Wilderness and going on a nature hike, playing at an awesome playground, visiting with Chip and Dale, followed by a camp fire/singalong and watching a disney movie on an outside big screen (ALL FREE)

4.Touring the Epcot resort area (carnival games at the boardwalk, Big arcade, street performers in the evening)

5.Visiting the Animal Kingdom Lodge and viewing the animals (FREE)

Thank you

1] Riding the monorail from TTC to MK and TTC to Epcot.

2] Sitting by the pool.

3] Taking the boat from FQ to DTD.

4] Watching Illumination from CBR.

5] Resort hopping.

6] Beaches and Cream ice cream.

7] Picnic

You can definitely spend a day at Downtown Disney! Although... if you want "free" stay away from the toy store :teeth:

The LegoStore has a little playground out front, and lego pieces to build. There are ramps to race car creations, and lots of Lego statues to visit and take pictures with.

The Toy Store has computer screens around their My Little Pony and Mr. Potato Head displays that your little ones can interact with.

You can visit the display outside the Rainforest Cafe.

There are fountain displays and shooting water all around.

The World of Disney has some seats and a TV in the princess section (?) It's been awhile.

There are sometimes samples at Ghiradelli's.

We were there once when they allowed kids to make chalk creations on the sidewalk.

Free parking.

Generally, a great break on a down-day if you want to stay in the Disney mood. :thumbsup2

Items 1-4 are the best ones one my list.

We love to watch the Fireworks from Poly. Great veiw but no Music. It is a good warm up first day at WDw before we go to the parks. We took a bus to Fort Wilderness Lodge and then the Boats to Poly in time to see the fireworks and Electric Water Pagent.

I have been hunting for a place to see Illuminations without going into the park. Didn't think of CBR...what is the veiw like? I was thinking of the path by BWV???

You could add...do a DVC tour, although that might not keep costs down if you buy!!

Not to sure if you will have a car or not but if you do I have a suggestion for you. Do you like nature? IF your answer is yes then drive out to Meritt Island to the wildlife refuge and salt water marshes there is also a manatee lookout that you can go to and watch the manatee swimming in the river directly below you it is a great way to spend a day.

No one has mentioned the mini-putt places, there are two in WDW I believe. About $10 per person.

Or, if there are only 2 of you, you can rent a watermouse ($20something/half-hour) or another kind of water thing. :goodvibes

Mmmm... and laying in a hammock just about anywhere is good. :wizard:

I am not sure if still available, but Universal had a 2+3 Day promo w/Free kids tickets to match.

Total for 2 Adults and 2 Kids, 5 Day Passes was $199.00.

Bob Jackson's show at River Roost Lounge at POR. He is there (I think) Wed-Sat evenings. Great for the whole family! No charge for the entertainment, but we enjoy it so much we put a tip on the piano for him. Of course, we also enjoy the beverages!

Don't forget the boat ride from POR to DTD ... very relaxing!

Down at the Boardwalk area, we rented on of the Surrey (sp?) bikes. It wasn't all. That expensive and you can pedal around the lagoon and see all the resorts in that area. Down at the Beach club you can go and sit in a lounge chair on the beach and face the lagoon....and just relax for a bit. It is a really great area.
