Inexpensive but great counter service

So we just got back and we are normally a sit down ever family, but with time an issue I decided to make a list and try some of the counter service options based on menu's collected from on-line sources.

First off, I want to say that I was wrong in thinking all counter service is poor quality & wish I had tried this ages ago to save both time & money. Everyone has favs I am sure but here are some recommendations:

MK- Cosmic Rays had 3 sections and plenty to choose from for everyone. The servings were much bigger than I expected and filled up my 13 yr old son who seems to be a bottomless pit lately. They move an extraordinary volume of food quickly and easily, I was impressed. My family had ribs, a chicken and ribs combo platter, burgers and chicken fingers & tasted each other's stuff, it was all great!

Of course we had Dole Whips at Aloha Isle, 2 pineapple & 2 orange, a nice treat that I only discovered 2 years ago.

AK- Flame tree BBQ for the ribs, which were amazing with big helpings & which we shared so only 2 plates were needed for the 4 of us. The outdoor seating was very nice, shaded and overlooking the water.

Hollywood Studios- Pizza Planet - 2 individual pies for the 4 of us was enough

EPCOT - Kabuki Kafe - Kaki Gori - amazing shaved ice. You wouldn't think an ice could be amazing, but it is.

Glad to hear it! We also love Cosmic Rays....That was my daughter's only "must see" attraction at MK!!!

Cosmic Ray's and Flame Tree are two locations I always enjoy eating at.

We also love Main St Bakery (MK) - they only have the choice of turkey or ham sandwiches but they're large and it's a lot of fun to pick out a dessert from their selection.

Also a bit off the beaten track but at POFQ at lunch they serve great Po'boys. If you have a car or are planning a trip to DTD - well worth a stop!
