inexpensive but clean (safe) hotel within 15 mins of WDW

We are arriving in Orlando late afternoon so we thought we'd stay offsite that night before checking in at Disney the next day with our four year old. Can anyone recommend a clean, inexpensive hotel in a good neighborhood? By inexpensive, I mean anything less than $100 with tax if that helps. Thank you!

Depending on what time of year you are going I think you could stay in a Disney All Star or Pop. That would be VERY close.

That's so funny, Lisa, I never even thought of that! We are already doing a split stay between the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Polynesian, but why not add a value resort for our first night? I didn't really like the idea of staying offsite, but I'm not sure why I didn't think of this! Thanks for the idea
