A co-worker is visiting family in the Orlando in March. It is mostly "family time" as the person they are visiting is very ill. Because money is tight, they might get one day in a theme park. They are looking for inexpensive things to do with three children under age ten.

Idea, please...
Thinking of the state or county nature park that has been mentioned on the podcast.
They also want one day at a beach - where?

Thanks for your suggestions.

I've heard that Clearwater beach is nice.

you didn't mention if the children were boys or girls, but depending on the kids you might want to look into Gatorland - I believe admission is fairly reasonable.

While Clearwater is a beautiful beach, I would suggest going over to the East coast instead. Cocoa Beach is only about an hours drive from Orlando and the drive is a lot less conjested using the beach line as compared to I-4 and I-75 over to the Gulf areas.
