Hi! Thinking about taking the family (kids are 11 & 12) for a quick get away in October to an indoor water park in Pennsylvania. Looking at Aquatopia and Kalahari and wondering if anyone would recommend these or any other parks.

TIA!

My kids (8 & 2) loved Great Wolf Lodge. Wife and I were disappointed with some of the customer service we received but the kids absolutely loved the water park and Magic Quest, and the themed hotel room.

They are brand new, but we've been to the GWL many times. It's very expensive, but good for a night or two.

Another vote for Great Wolf Lodge. Yes, it's costly for a hotel room but all-day water park admission (from early afternoon on check-in day to late afternoon check-out day) makes it well worth the price.

Aquatopia? is that the indoor park at Cambelback? If so, the room prices looked comparable to GWL. Kalahari has limited day passes so you would be sharing the water park with outside guests- if that matters to you. Camelback is like GWL- waterpark use is restricted to hotel guests.

I would say check out Aquatopia!

We've been to GWL many times and you can find discounts at different times during the year. You can sign up for their email list and they will send discount info. when it becomes available. They run a "good neighbor" discount to residents in surrounding counties in PA in the spring and fall, and they also have discounts for homeschool, AAA, on their facebook page at times, and AARP. Good neighbor, homeschool, and facebook announcements are not year round, but only certain times of the year. There may be more, but those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
GWL is nice, but can be expensive if you don't have a discount or if you go around holidays or in the summer. Every little bit of savings helps!

At our GWL, they let you start using the water park when it opens on your first day (done this a dozen times). No long line for check in then, either.

Great Wolf Lodge. One night's hotel stay lets you use the water park two days. Just go off season and during the week if possible.

Thank you everyone for the replies! We just booked GWL and we are all so excited. Thank you all again for recommending GWL :)

Have a great trip!!! We take our kids every year and they always look forward to it! I am not sure if you are going to GWL Ohio or the one by Niagara Falls, but the one by the falls has the BEST dinner buffet IMO. Enjoy!

We went to GWL and it was nice, but we were a little disappointed with the eating options. When we were there (several years ago) they had a Pizza Hut express, and a restaurant (Buffet) but the buffet was nothing special. You could also order from the menu, but again, nothing screamed out to us that it was "Gotta have it"

Also the restaurants around the area were also slim pickings. There was a diner down the road that we ended up getting a nice breakfast though.

Either way, I hope you have an awesome time.

Kalahari Just opened in the Pocono's last month. I believe it is suppose to be the largest water park,
