Both my boys would like to try this,19 15, has anyone tried this and how was it. The oldest thinks that 2 1 minute flights is not alot but never doing this I said you might be surprised. Thanks for any info.

Our whole extended family (ages 13 thru 73 did this) and really enjoyed the experience. You actually have more air time than you do in real sky diving. The whole experience lasts an hour or more (getting suited up), learning about what you are supposed to do, watching others before you go (really fun). You go in one at a time with an instructor. Each one minute of air time feels a lot longer than one minute. Everyone in my extended family group was in agreement on that point.

Sky Venture in Orando gets pretty diverse customers (serious sky divers who want air time to work on skills and manuvers and tourists).

Thanks for the reply, my oldest siad the thing about more airtime like you did , I told him I had no idea thanks for letting us know, looks like they might get their chance as we have 4 days outside Disney 1st and they were looking for something to do.

OT, My DH wanted to do this on our last trip but he exceeded Sky Ventures weight allowance (the max weight was 230 for under 6' tall.)
Does anyone know of any other places that do this that may have different weight limits? I'd love to know.

My 9 year old wants to do this and I was just looking at the Sky Venture website. kathy 884, did anyone go with the multimedia package? I was wondering if it was worth the extra $.

We did the multimedia package, as we had two Orlando Entertainment books and there were two for one coupons for this in each book, making it a little less expensive for us than doing the standard package with a five dollar off coupon. Nine of us did this, so we used our four Entertainment book coupons and one person didn't get the package and used a $5 off coupon from the Skyventure website. Sky Venture, did, though, go ahead and put all nine of us on the DVD, even though only eight were supposed to be on officially. You might want to look online to see if the current Orlando Entertainment book has these coupons. If they do and you want the multimedia package, the book could pay for itself. We usually use "two for one" coupons for Gatorland and a least expensive dinner free punch on the Entertainment card for an Americanized Japenese place where they cook the food in front of you that my brother and his family really like. That makes getting the Orlando Entertainment book a no brainer for us.

This is just me and my own personal preferences, of course, but I usually pass on the CDs/DVDs, and would have passed if I didn't have the coupons. If my kids really want these I make them pay the extra with their own money. They are lots of fun to look at once or twice, but we rarely look at them again after that. I will say, though, that we did really enjoy the DVD -- It's not as easy as it looks and people can get turned around and look pretty silly, so the kids especially loved giggling when seeing how parents and grandparents looked, etc. before they got the hang of it.

DH tried it a few years back - like about 4years ago - so packages and prices have probably changed some since then quite a bit. He said it was lots of fun, but the time went by rather quickly - when he was actually skydiving. (But I agree the whole thing took much longer.)

He did get the video. I wasn't with him when he actually did the skydiving, so we watched it once as soon as he got back to our resort (I think I maybe went shopping). We haven't watched it since, FYI.

The other thing I sort of recall is that he was surprised by the level of skill that can be achieved. As another poster commented, there were a number of more serious skydivers and even serious indoor skydivers there. It was fun watching them.

We are doing this on Thursday. I am stoked, and I have read the reviews regarding the short time period, but this is on my "bucket list" so I'm willing to spend the money!!!
