Indoor Pools

Does anyone know which hotels have indoor pools? We are planning a December trip and if we can't get any discount rates for the Contemporary Resort, we may go this route. I know most pools are heated, but we are in Atlanta and will probably be too wimpy to swim outdoors.

I honestly don't know of any in the Orlando area. If anyone else does, I would like to know too. I live in SW Fl and Orlando in the winter can be as much as 10-15 degress cooler than my area!!! Talk about wimpy....you won't catch me in the pool LOL!!

Go to the Marriott website. There is a hotel(Courtyard or Fairfield?), that has an indoor and outdoor pool. It is either at Little Lake Bryan or Marriott Village.

Marriott Orlando World Center - an there are 3 Marriott timeshares with access to it. This is a modest sized pool for such a large resort hotel.

Oasis Lakes Resort on South I-Drive - very nice place. Indoor-outdoor, heated pool with cabana and lovely indoor game areas, including billiards, near pool area. Good size pool for a modest sized resort.

I believe I've read that Gaylord Palms has at least one indoor pool under a huge atrium. The pictures of this hotel are beautiful!

Courtyard by Marriott at Little Lake Bryan has an indoor-outdoor pool. We went swimming in Jan. and it was nice.

Thank You for all the good ideas, if there are any others I would love to hear them.

I didn't see any indoor pool at the Gaylord Palms. These hotels that have indoor/outdoor, how are the pools in the winter for us FL/GA people (cold water wimps LOL)? I know that the Wyndham Palace in DTD has a small area that is under-roof, but I wouldn't consider it to be an indoor pool. Is the MOWC's pool all indoors????

I go swimming in December at WDW - but I am also hot natured...

the temperature in Nov - Dec can varify greatly - I have been when the high was in the 80's, low in the 60's and high in the 60, low in the 40's. You really can't say how it will be until it is a whole lot closer. Most of my trips the weather in Dec was great - just a couple colds ones in 10 years of going in Dec.

this is the first year that I am not going in Dec since 92 - oh I am having a trouble - but change is good....

I got confused when reading on the website for Gaylord Palms. On the "Top 10 Reasons..." list, it says there are 4.5 acres under an atrium and in the same paragraph, it mentions a pool. But on further searching by clicking on additional links, it tells that the pool areas are just outside the indoor shopping areas. So you're right, there are apparently no indoor pools at GP.

And yes, the smaller indoor pool at MOWC is completely indoors, in its own room, accessible from the main outdoor pool area. That one, I have seen. :)

the marriott's timeshares
Marriott's Imperial Palm Village, Royal Palms and Sabal Palms

there is another time
Clarion Suites Spas at Resort World

the Marriott should be nice - Clarion suites I just don't know - these II timeshares and are not on RCI sites like
www.skyauction.com

I know that II timeshares have something similar I just don't remember the websites.

You can't tell unless you do a resort by resort check on the RCI timeshares - they only list a swimming pool - not if it is outdoors or indoors - II does.

The Embassy Suites/Convention Center on International Drive has two pools - one indoor and one outdoor (just standard pools). I'm not sure how the indoor/outdoor combination would work in the winter (never tried one).
