Hi :goodvibes

We are visiting DL for 5 days at the end of April (4/28 - 5/2) for a family visit that includes our son-inlaw's first visit. We have been to DL several times but never this particular part of the year. Right now we are planning our normal lunch at Blue Bayou and a character breakfast (Goofy's kitchen this time). Anything special about this time of year? Any special shows or must-dos? I understand Fantasmic will not be showing? There will be 6 of us...all 17 or older...staying at the Disneyland Hotel. Thanks very much for your help! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you have a great trip planned so it should work like a charm. It's always fun taking newbies!

We're lucky our DSIL has taken to Disney like a duck to water. Our DDIL & DS aren't quite as crazy about it so they join us every other year. We just take our DGS without his parents on their off years.

One thing I can suggest is to play find the hidden Mickeys! That is fun to do while you are waiting in a line. One tip I can give you if you do not want to get soaked on the Grizzly Rapids in CA, is when you first get all bucked in, and start to go, look down and place one of your feet over that little circular grate and keep it there! If not, you will get soaked! LOL :lmao:When you get off the rapids, the exit to GC is right there, go grab the Steak/Chicken Nachos at the Whitewater snack! Then go on back into CA and have a great time! After riding Splash Mountain, jump onto Winnie the Pooh, then slip into the Pooh store and grab a Tigger Tail, dark chocolate covered pretzel :thumbsup2 or a different yummy treat (and see a couple of people making them), to snack on while you walk on over to your next ride! Take plenty of pics and have a wonderful time.

Be aware that the new World of Color show opens April 24 at DCA and the crowds will be huge.
