:headache:

REALLY??? C'mon - I know it's a bye-week and all, but did you really have to swim in the canal, then approach someone in their car?

I'm not buying the BAC at 0.15, yes - that is drunk but for his size, there's no way that would cause him to do something THAT STUPID!

Anyone want to place a bet on how many games he'll be suspended by the league??

As Al Michaels and Chris Collingsworth said last Sunday, being the punter on a team with Peyton Manning has got to be the most boring job on the planet.

I guess Pat was just looking for a little excitement.

But in the grand scheme of things, I don't think this is a hanging offense. Not very bright, but hey, at least he wasn't driving, he didn't rape anyone, wasn't doing drugs, etc. Yes, it was stupid and embarrassing, but I don't think he's going to get fired for it.

Okay, I know it's not a funny situation, but I seriously snorted when I read this:

The police report states McAfee was asked how much he had to drink. He responded, “A lot cause I am drunk.”

;)

I agree!:thumbsup2

It was amazingly stupid, but he didn't hurt anyone or anything, so I don't think he gets fired. I'm sure the veterans on the team won't let him live this down.;)

Part of his wrap sheet includes suspicion of intoxication - in Indiana, that can mean booze or drugs or both. A BAC of 0.15 isn't that drunk. Especially for an athlete that had obviously been at it for several hours... Having "a lot" to drink indicates he'd been at it for a while. It takes about 8 hours for alcohol to fully get out of your system (from the time of the last drink). But you can also blow at BAC of .8 after 2 pints in a short amount of time.

I don't think he'll get fired, but I'm sure Irsay will suspend him for at least a game or two, and who knows what Goodell will hand down.

If McAfee gets a suspension for this, Goodell had sure better suspend players for malicious helmet-to-helmet hits.

Nobody gets hurt if a punter goes out, gets blitzed, and ends up in the White River canal.

But atleast he was honest. A good number of drunks, would have told the officer, no I haven't been drinking or I just had 1 or 2 officer.

He will be suspended, he doesn't play for the Steelers

Please to me seems that Goodell is having a field day with the Steelers. Suspensions , fines, . Don't hate the player , hate the game.

You must be a Bengals or even worse a Browns fans. :sad2: Sorry to hear that! :rotfl:

To put it differently, I'm sure he won't get suspended, since he isn't a Steeler. Plus seems even when a Colts player does break the law, he doesn't get suspended anyhow.

The team decided to bench him for a game which is pretty out there I think. There was no car found, he was probably dared to go into the water as a joke, and the buddies left him. He wasn't harassing anyone, just walking around drunk. How many people do that?

He approached a woman's car at a stoplight, shirtless, wet, at 5am. He scared the pants off that poor lady! She's the one who called it in to 911.

I won't say he wasn't dared to do it but still.

I'm sure Irsay is expecting the league to match or increase the penalty.

even if he had been sober and had a broken down car the lady still would have been scared.
Players get DUI's etc and the league doesn't do a thing to them.
Pat is a good guy, and a core part of the team, he wans't trying to hurt the lady, but he was trying to do the right thing and get home since he was intoxicated.

I know he meant no harm. But as Bob & Tom (and Chick) say often, "NOTHING good happens after midnight."
