indianapolis area DISers?

just checking to make sure that everyone's ok after the latest batch of storms ripped through here!! i am on the north part of indy (carmel area) and we didn't see much through here...is everyone ok?

I HATE THIS WEATHER!!!!!!!

I was wondering, too. Sounds like one was not too far from Serena.

Lots of power outages and the Indianpolis schools are not releasing until the storms pass.

I called Serena and got her answering machine.

At least she still has a working phone line......

I'm not home, but there was quite a bit of damage not too far from my 9 yo son's school. Tree limbs, and power lines down. In talking to my wife, who is home, she told me the power is out, and they are not letting the kids out of school intil the tornado warnings expire.

I also heard there were a couple of tornado touchdowns a couple miles south of our neighborhood on the NE side.

We're okay but I yanked Mo out of bed and ran to the basement. There was one at Cumberland and 131st and we're right around Cumberland and 116th. We didn't see anything though and we didn't have any damage beyond stuff blown around the yard.

I'm live on the west side of Indy--- This weather really sucks I hope everyone out east get your power back on if it's off. IPalco is so darn slow

So in the daylight has does everything look? I have been watching the news and it looks pretty bad. I live in Plainfield looks ok here. I work in both Plainfield and Brownsburg and there is a little bit of standing water in places but no down trees or lines( thank you).
It looks like the Greenwood area was hit pretty hard. I don't think I have heard of any fatalities. I hope this is true.

I was glad to read your posts Princess Ariel and Serena. My DD lives on the west side of Indy. She teaches at Fulton Jr. High, near Ben Davis. I haven't talked to her but I'm sure they had a lot of excitement at school yesterday. Good to know that the west side is OK.

Most of my mom's family went to Ben Davis.
