Indiana Jones Stunt Show

Agree.

Sort of like Carousel of Progress--a great attraction in its heyday, but now they are almost begging folks to come in.

My DD and I still love this show. Have seen it many times and she alays wants to go. Yes it hasn't changed, but for us it's still fun. I've yet to go when the theater isn't full and we go during slower times of the year. She isn't happy about the closure at some point.

I've never been on Astro Orbiter either and I honestly have no urge to go on it, lol...but my son saw a video of it the other day and asked me how come I never told him about this ride  oops...so now he's all like we are going on that ride! I told him I will go on it at night time when the park is all lit up, bc it might not be so bad, LOL...I am totally afraid of heights (but roller coasters don't bother me bc you are like really high for 2 seconds and then you are going so fast you don't even notice, lol)
Astro Orbiter at night is great. During the day, skip it. Tomorrowland looks great when it's lit up.

I do love the show and will try to go on my next trip that if my 3 year old will allow it, will bring his headphones. Although as a precaution will sit near an exit, so I can get out quick if he kicks off.

But as I mentioned in a different post, I think that once SW land is open they could easily put a SW overlay over this show. covert the Market scene to Mos Eisley and have it full of Jawas, the plane scene could be replaced with a Tie fighter and the Audience participation bit the Jedi Training Academy.

But I suspect with Indy 5 in the works, they might just update it in line with some scenes from that.

Let's face it ... a great, classic movie and a wonderful attraction. But the attraction has not had a single, tiny change made to it 27 years.

That's not just boring ... that's Hall of Presidents boring ... except at least the hall gets a new Prez every 4-8 years.

If a movie theater, playhouse, sports stadium or "local" amusement park was run that way it would be laughed out of town.

Exactly. Great show and hope they keep it, but it would be MUCH better if they made a few updates each year to keep it fresh. I really don't understand why Disney doesn't update the shows. It isn't like it would be a major investment and if they did it would keep repeat visitors more interested which keeps them out of line for other things.

I for one hope that they keep it. My whole family really enjoys it... even after all of these years

Going on it at night it definitely the way to go. I too am not a fan of heights but you don't notice it as much because of the loading platform. Then when the ride is actually moving and you go up it's dark and you keep looking at things further away so its really not bad at all.

One thing that thru me off was the amount of outward G force you get on that ride. Its quite a bit stronger than a Dumbo type ride.

Awesome! Thanks! Yeah I am going to try and go for nighttime FPs in Tomorrowland and I figure while we are in Tomorrowland when the sun sets we can hop on the ride. How are the lines for this ride usually? I know theres no FP for it, but my son who wants to go on it is on the Spectrum and waiting in line can cause him some major issues...he's usually ok to wait for 10 minutes or so but anything more than that is really pushing it. We are planning on going in March.

I got to be an extra in the Indiana Jones show one time. You want hot. Put one of those flannel 'villager' outfits on over your regular clothing.

Usually like 20 minutes. You have to wait for an elevator then wait after the elevator too. It's a low capacity ride so even though it isn't very popular, there's almost always a line.

I don't think they will be closing Indiana jones with the new movie coming out at sometime.

It was great the first 5 times I saw it.

Now? Eh, it is somewhere to sit down, out of the sun.

I don't think I've bothered to see the show in 20 years. If they could replace it with the Temple of the Forbidden Eye ride from Disneyland or even the Indiana Jones rollercoaster from Paris I'd be thrilled.

Disney needs to hang in there with the Indiana Jones stunt show. Bring to the masses a 5th Indiana Jones movie then a new Indiana Jones ride next to the stunt show. This would also raise interest in the other 4 Indiana Jones movies that Disney now owns the rights to. I really hope this is the Disney plan for the Indiana Jones franchise. I wouldn't even mind Harrison Ford not being the main chartater in the 5th movie. I think he is 74 and could just make a appearance in the next film. Why would I say something so crazy? Because if they could find a good new leading man and great director for the project we could be talking about multiple new movies for the Indiana Jones franchise. I can dream can't i ?

Harrison Ford will be in the next movie, and as leading man. Was one of two huge pieces to his contract for being in Star Wars A Force Awakens. The other being the dramatic scene in A Force Awakens (in the books it was Chewie that had that scene, but Ford wanted it as well as the next Indiana Jones movie). After this movie, however, I do not believe there is anything requiring Ford to be in the Franchise.

Well if Harrison is going to be in the next Indy film they better get on with making the movie already. He ain't getting any younger. Any news on if this 5th movie is a guarantee and when filming might start.

Well, as much as I'd hate to see it go I think the Imagineers are casting covetous eyes on the amount of space Indy occupies. I'd be surprised if it lasts too much longer. On the other hand, it does soak up a large amount of people that would otherwise be wandering around looking for something to do.

Yes I feel like the stunt show is at least something else for guests to do before Star Wars land and Pixar land are done. Hopefully the new Indy movie will be out by then and there will be added interest in the Indy franchise.
