Is there an Indiana Jones ride at WDW like at DL? I'm not seeing
it mentioned anywhere, and it is one of DH :smooth: favorite rides
(he likes to be the driver in the jeep)

There is no Indiana Jones ride in WDW, but Dinosaur in Animal Kindgom is a very similar ride based on dinosaurs as opposed to Indiana Jones...

Is o.k., but Indie is 20 times better!!! I just got back from DLR, and we rode indie at least 15 times! We usually hit Dinosaur once....we are not as impressed with it! :sunny:

I'm positive he will like the test track, so I guess it will be a good trade off

Re: Dinosaur like Indiana Jones? Let’s not slander a truly great attraction without merit. Aside from the “Jeep” vehicles, they are nothing alike—not even remotely.

Actually, technically, they are identical.

They feature the same exact layout, the same ride car technology, it's just that the sets are dressed differently.

Literally, if you dig up some track layouts on the 'net you will see that they are pretty much exact clones of each other with just different decorations.

That's why many refer to it as such. It was once said that the higher ups at WDW didn't want two attractions featuring the same exact technology again (a la Body Wars/Star Tours), but as your post points out most people never ever notice.

However, indeed, they are the same ride in just about everything but theme.

N.E.D.

They might use the same ride technology & track, but the experiences can't even come close to being compared. Temple of the Forbidden Eye is so much more rich in show than Dinosaur. It's simply amazing, where Dinosaur is ok. It seems like they kept it so dark that you couldn't see much, like there are "empty" spots. Every square millimeter of Temple is full of visuals.

After Haunted Mansion, Temple is the best attraction Disney ever created, IMHO. I wish they would install one in WDW.....

Actually, “Technically” **** sapiens are all identical as well.

The feature the same physical “layout” of body parts, the same “technology” to the basic structure of DNA and gnomes, only the exteriors are “dressed” differently.

Literally, if you rip off several different human beings “exteriors” you will see that they are pretty much exact “clones” of each other with just different “decorations.”

That’s why Coca-Cola spent millions on sappy “we are all the same, let’s have a group hug” advertising campaigns in the 1970. The difference is that while it was once said that the higher ups in many political societies didn’t want non-exact “technology” again (a la the German Nazis and Italian Fascists in the 1930s and 1940s, the KKK, warring tribes throughout Africa, etc.), but as history books point out, many people did notice.

However, indeed, they are the same in just about everything but theme.

As comfortable as it may be for some to simply dismiss these “differences” as redundant and trivial, I continue to stand by my defense against slander—and now obviously racist and bigoted—of the DL attraction.

I thought that the successful strides in the Civil Rights movement helped eliminate much of this type of hatred from American society. . .such a sad, sad day. . .

;)
