Im reading the Birnbaums Guide to DL and in the notes for the Indiana Jones Adventure it says "Kids must be at least 3 years old or at least 46 inches tall to board.
So if Im reading that right, my 5 yo who isnt quite 46 inches would be able to ride, because its 1 or the other, right? Or am I interpretting that wrong?
I guess what Im asking is has anyones child under 46 inches ridden it?
Thanks!

I would say that Birnbaum's is wrong. I have often seen kids that were over 3 years old but under 46" tall not allowed onto the attraction. Maybe Birnbaum's got it mixed up with the Matterhorn which for years had a simple requirement of "3 years or older".

They have to be at least 46" tall--no or in there--should be at least 3 and 46".

due to liability issues...they are VERY strict about it. even at DCA's tuck & roll (the bumper bug ride) inside Bug's Land!

It definitely does say "or" in the book I have. Thats why I was questioning it, it didnt seem right.:)
Thanks for the answers everyone. Guess I have to prepare DS not to go on it and hope he has a growth spurt between now and August. ;)

I wouldnt doubt that he is tall enough to ride it by August... chances are good that he does grow another 2 inches... happened to me.

hey there we went last year and my daughter who was 4 was very close to that height and they put a paper in between her head and the measurement they are very strict about the height thing we hope she is tall enough this year . sorry your son can not ride this ride they will give you a parent pass so some one can stay with your son and then you can trade and they can go ride it after .

Get him some hefty athletic shoes or hiking boots. They will add 1 to 1 1/2 inches to his height. Might try spiking his hair also. Just be sure he's buckled in tight!

It amazing what the editors don't catch. All rides at Disneyland have a height requirement. The only rides that I can remember that used to have an age requirement are the Matterhorn & Gadgets Go Coaster. But both of these have since switch to height requirements.

Indiana is a very fast, jerky ride, so I would not suggest trying to "cheat" the height thing on this one. It's also DARN scary for the kids...my own DS didn't start riding it until after turning 8 and neice that we took w/us last year at age 9 almost had a heart attack on it!

Dont worry. Im not planning on cheating the system. Obviously they have the height requirements for a reason and Im not going to jeaopardize my kids...although if they act up, I just might try, LOL! ;)

LOL, Challada! My oldest wants to go on it, but I dont think he realizes it can be scary. Hes usually a chicken on rides so I am debating about letting him on it. My youngest on the other hand is a daredevil and would love it, but he may not be tall enough by then. Funny how kids can be so different.:)
