Indiana DVC'ers

Since we've moved to the Indianapolis area, I've been wearing my DVC hat and sporting my DVC front plate on our car hoping to run into other DVC'ers.

So far, no one. Are you guys all still watching basketball or maybe there aren't very many of you. If you see a good looking guy in a DVC hat, stop and say hi...it might be me.

We're from Indianapolis and we're DVC members. We own at the Wilderness Lodge and are getting ready to add on at the Beach Club. We've got friends that live in Muncie that are owners at the Boardwalk. There's a few of us out there!

Wonder how many members there are in Indiana?

There are at least 7 other families in Lafayette that I'm aware of now and many in the Indy area.

We are members up in Fort Wayne We own both BWV and VWL! Next time we are in INDY (every couple of months), I will be watchin' for the good lookin' man in a DVC hat !

Southeast Indiana here, 60 miles from Indy, and 30 miles from Cincy. If you drive I-74, don't blink as you drive by or you'll miss us completely. (population 5000)

Greetings from Anderson. We bought into DVC in '99 at BWV and just added at BCV. Wish we had bought back in 1992...DVC is the greatest. We stayed at BWV in January and will be back in September. So far we have stayed at BWV, OKW, and gone on a 4-day cruise with points. Nice to know there are other Hoosier Disney fans!

Hello from Terre Haute! We bought BWV in 99 and would like to add on at the BCV. We just got back from 12 days at DW. Our car is in Indy quite a bit. We're househunting in the Carmel area to be near our daughter and her family.

We're in southwest Indiana, near Evansville. We just joined DVC last May and are making our first trip home in July (VWL & BWV) VWL is our home, but my daughters are excited about spending a week at BWV.

We are coming to Indy on Wednesday and Thursday. We will mostly be shopping, so I'll keep my eyes open in case you're at the mall! And yes, I did watch that awesome game against Duke! Go Hoosiers!

Hi! from Fort Wayne! Just got back from HH today. Great weather and neat trip to Savanah, but the best parts were dinner with Chef Gordon and the big win over Duke! Go Hoosiers!

Be sure to wear that cap when you get up this way! We'll be watching.

WOW, This is great, fellow DVCers all around us.

We will be driving to HH this August. It will be a different drive from Indiana rather than our usual route down I-95. We are looking forward to the new sites, but will miss the South of the border billboards with Pedro.

jbthi, we just moved into our house here in Carmel only a few weeks ago! There are plenty of houses for you to choose from. You could be looking in our neighborhood.

WLVfamily, we rented a townhouse in Fishers while we were house hunting.

We would enjoy meeting fellow DVCers anytime. So far we really like it here in Indiana. We're currently on the hunt for good pizza and Mexican food. Our daughter joined the school basketball team on her first day and had a lot of fun getting acclimated to Hoosier basketball.

You are in for a real treat! The drive to HHI from IN is a beautiful one. Wait until you get to TN and cross into NC. It is just breathtaking!!! I now have plans to someday move to Asheville, NC because of that drive!

Last year we stayed at Charleston Place on our way down to HH. This year we were thinking either we would go back there again or maybe stay at the Grove Park Inn resort in Ashville, NC. Has anyone stayed at the Grove Park Inn? It sounds really nice.

Would love any kind of Indiana DVC meet. Indy area would be great, that's only an hour away for us.

I forgot to ask, about how long does it take to get from Indy to Asheville and from Asheville to HH?

For us the trip to HH is 11 - 12 hours. We're about 50 minutes from Indy south side (jct I-74 and the loop), so you could add another hour or so for your drive.

Sorry, I don't remember the breakdown in leg times to Asheville from either here or from HH.

You'll love I-40 through the mountains. But just hope for good weather as the drive can be terrible in bad weather. And be sure you'll be driving it during daylight. At night you can't see a thing and it's just one curve after another. Very tiring at night.

The Grove Park Inn is very nice. We enjoyed our stay there last November.

Asheville is about 8 hours from Indy and another 4 to HH.
