INDESTRUCTABLE luggage?

The softsided never lasts, and it's heavy. I think our large one is 20 pounds before I put anything in it. If it's more than 1/2 full I'm over the 50 pound limit.

It depends on the brand. My 20" TUMI weighs about two pounds. I can lift it empty with one finger.

I don't think any of of softsided bags (and that's all we have) weigh more than about seven pounds--even the larger pullmans.

Good quality soft side luggage will be durable AND lightweight.
