Indepently-operated Restaurants on WDW Property

Hello everyone,

I am currently planning my intimate wedding at WDW. We would like to have a dinner reception on property, but intimate brides have had issues hosting a private party with their wedding attire at WDW owned and operated restaurants. I know that the Swan and Dolphin are independent of Disney and offer various restaurants. I am also aware that Fulton's Crab House in DTD is indepently operated. Are there any other restaurants on property that are not under the direct control of Disney? Thanks for your help!

From what I've read, Bistro de Paris, Chefs de France, and L'Originale Alfredo di Roma, in Epcot, both are operated by outside agents. Most of the restaurants at DTD are also run by outsiders, as is Rainforest Cafe at the Animal Kingdom.

However, the General Managers of all the restaurants in the parks are Disney employees and although the chef's and staff may be independent, the restaurants are still under Disney's control.

To further answer the original question, with the exception of Captain Jack's all the Downtown restaurants, including all the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd, are independent. The Hilton, Wyndham Palace, Grosvenor, Royal Plaza and Holiday Inn all have function space separate from their restaurants and have Catering Departments.
