Independence Air ???

I have flown with Independence Air twice now and really like them.! Great fares, flights, etc. We are starting to watch for our air for June, but I am concerned about them and their stability. My other two flights I bought pretty last minute...within 6 weeks of flying......so wasn't too worried. But, if they have a sale too far out, I won't feel too confident.

Anyone have any concrete information on how they are doing? Any links? I really don't want to have to drive over an hour to Baltimore for Southwest!

If you booked, and they cancelled, could you drive (or have another plan B)? If so, than I would book(use a CC for protection). I know how you feel I have been sweating out US Airways tickets for 6 months. I believe Safteymom on the Transportation board recommends flyertalk for information.

I can tell you that Independence is laying off nearly half their flight crews at the end of this month, and that experts are saying that the longer USAirways clings to life, the worse it is for Independence. That's all I know.
