Indecisive, need help on resort decision

We are currently booked at BCV for an upcoming trip. We have stayed there a lot in the past, our first home resort, but the last few stays have been at other DVC resorts. I am seeing a lot of comments that the resort has gone way down; molding bathrooms, dirty floors, dirty furniture, and other housekeeping issues. I hear that the furniture is really trashed. My fear is that we get there and if it is a busy time they will stick us in a bad room and we wil have no recourse on getting the issues fixed.

I need some recent comments about BCV an your opinion on if we should change to Kidani Savannah view instead.

Any resort can have cleaning issues, older resorts and resorts that haven't had a refurb in years will show more wear.

Sad thing is even a new resort can suffer from chipped furniture and cabinets when the guests don't take care of the place. IMO the quality of the furnishings and material also can be a factor.

Since BCV has started their rehab, I would stay at a different resort.

I looked everywhere and I did ot see that it was in the middle of it's refurb. Does anyone know if this is happening

From your signature, it looks like you haven't been to AKV only AKL and that was many years ago. I would give AKV a try. Along with the Lodge having DVC on the 5th and 6th floors, you also have the choice of Kidani, which offers a completely laid back experience.

We were just at BCV less than 2 weeks ago and It was totally sub par. I was shocked at the state of our studio villa. The whole room smelled like cat pee among many other issues-NONE of which were resolved despite my complaints to the front desk. We won't be staying at BCV again!
