Incredibles - World Premier on Magic or Wonder?

The Incredibles is scheduled to be in theaters Friday, November 5, 2004. Do you think we might get the premier on our Halloween Magic cruise which leaves on October 30 and returns on November 6?

That would be cool!

How does DCL handle "World Premiers" of its movies onboard?

Ladder 49 was released on Friday, October 1st on land and we had a Prem"Ear" at sea in the Walt Disney Theatre on the Magic last week at midnight (12:01 am) Thursday night Sept. 29th.

There was no fanfare but many people showed up to watch.

Before we went to see it one of the CM's told us how good the movie was and when I asked her how she saw it already and she said that when new movies come onboard the techs have to screen them to make sure they run properly and are not damaged.....she said some of the crew got to watch it early in the week.

You can call for the movies showing by calling: 1-888-325-2500, choose "reservations" and they will tell you what's playing.

I called yesterday, and was told the "Incredibles" would be premiering on the Wonder on the 5th Nov. I was also told the following movies would be shown: Around the World in 80 days
Brother Bear
Confessions of a Drama Queen
Finding Nemo
Princess Diaries 2
Raising Helen
Pirates of the Caribbean
Mr. 3000
Home on the Range
Village
Miracle

Think I got all the titles right. They were passed so quickly, I had trouble keeping up.

I saw a thread a while back talking about bringing your own candy. I've sorted this particular detail out, my DW loves licorice. Perhaps a stupid question, but I would hope they serve popcorn at the movies? After all, you can't go to a movie theatre without this? Perhaps I should start a new thread if none of you experienced cruiser's can tell me?

it's prepackaged popcorn, not fresh theater popcorn like you'd be used to at a standard theater.

and it is not free. Last time we tried to purchase popcorn there was only cheddar and my kids don't like that. If there is something particular you or your family want bring it on.

Not that I've ever seen. A lack of hot, fresh popcorn in the movie theaters is probably one of my biggest disappointments with DCL.

HAL serves popcorn in their theaters. Why not DCL?

We are just west of you in Allentown. Heading out on Southwest from Philadelphia next Friday. Our whole family is so excited for this cruise! A big NJ week on the Magic.

Us, too. We are in the King of Prussia area and are heading to MCO on Friday night. With the cold rain today, it will be so nice to be warm again!
