Does anyone know if the number of rooms in each category for each resort is listed anywhere?? I am planning on doing a waitlist at BWV or BCV in either a studio or one bedroom unit and want to spend my 2 waitlist on the options with the most rooms hoping that would increase the probability of getting in...

I don't think the "number of rooms" is your key factor. I think it's the "poularity" of rooms to DVC members.

As a last minute booker I will tell you that 1 bedrooms are easiest to get late which would lead me to think that they are going to be easier to clear a waitlist on. (And I have had 1 bedroom success on WL at BCV) At BW I would waitlist 1 bedroom Preferred view. The standard is TOUGH and the BW tougher!

I will let others address BCV.
At BWV, 1 bedrooms are easier (because they cost more points than a studio but sleep the same number as a studio) and preferred pool/garden are much easier (because they are far more plentiful) than BW view or standard view. So you might consider using one of your 2 available waitlist options as "preferred pool/garden 1 bedroom."
Good luck!

From easiest to hardest to get

BWV (preferred/water)
BWV (preferred/boardwalk)
BCV
BWV (standard)

1BR are easier to get than studios.

Hi - brand new to DVC our home is VGC we are DL folks, but will visit WDW every other year now instead of every 5. I like the spreadsheet but could you please clarify for the newbie - what is dedicated? We hope to stay at BLT in 2011 so booking next year at 7 monts - I know planning way in advance but we are excited to have just joined.

Thanks!

Dedicated is applied to certain rooms.
A dedicated 2 bedroom is a 2 bedroom that can only be sold as/used as a 2 bedroom. There is no way of locking off a one bedroom from a studio.
A dedicated studio is a studio that can only be used as a studio. It is not connected through a lock-off to a 1 bedroom to make a 2 bedroom.
