We just got back on Sunday and I don't remember seeing so many cars pulled over by the Sheriff. Have they stepped up enforcement since December?

I'm not complaining, the sudden lane changes that people made scared me to death and I'm riding a bus! :flower: :moped:

Anyone else notice more people pulled over?

Yes, they have, there was an article about that a while back on the DIS homepage, I think.

My husband and I spoke to a Orange County Sheriff Deputy last May (when we were considering moving to Florida). They were in the process of assigning up to 100 officers (not all at one time, but coverage 24/7) to patrol the WDW area due to the threat of terrorism as well as increased traffic issues. They had hoped to have most of them in place by the end of 2004. That would definitely explain the increased presence of more officers. I think it is definitely needed...have you seen how people take off and drive like they are in the Indy 500? This is supposed to be the happiest place on earth...not the scariest! :)

I think people panic when they miss the exit. The site of a Camry doing a 4 lane change in 1/10 of a mile at 50 miles an hour is a sight to behold. :flower:
