I saw on the new menu for many CS places quite the increase in prices....is this restaurant wide in all the parks? Does it effect TS meals as well, or just mainly CS meals?

If you hadn't seen the new menus you can see those at http://www.easywdw.com/uncategorized/new-menu-items-at-columbia-harbour-house-higher-prices-magic-kingdom-wide/#comments

I was just adding up our TS meal cost yesterday and now I'm worried that it could be significantly more if the TS menus also saw an increase. Some items are costing up to 18% more. I guess I could play it safe and just add an average of 15% to every menu item we think of ordering LOL to get a rough estimate of how much our TS meals will cost.

Wow, if its reallly an 18% increase that's a lot. I noticed on our trip in March that it seems Disney is trying to force guests into the dining plan. We used the dining plan the first few years it came out, then decided that we actually came out ahead paying OOP. However, on our last several trips I've noticed our bills for food getting bigger and bigger on each trip. In March we did not have the dining plan and realized that the tables have turned. We no longer came out ahead by not having the plan. With the increased prices of food you may as well just get the darn plan and be done with it. I'm pretty sure that's Disney plan, to force as many people into the dining plan as they can.

I noticed that there was an increase in prices particularly the buffets with the last new menu update. It's a bit disheartening.

I think Disney is trying to make the dining plan look like a real bargain. Personally I think the cost of food is close to getting out of hand.

Oh it's no doubt out of hand.....we pay roughly 200.00 for most buffet meals at Disney and just slightly less for something like SciFi or the Plaza. It's ridiculous for a family of 7....I mean we're used to spending a lot to eat out, we spend 35.00 just to eat at ChickFilA LOL....but 200.00 per meal is really out of hand.

I guess we could start driving off site to eat at the many restaurants there in Orlando....not 'magical' but cheaper LOL

Those Buffet prices were peak season and included tax.
