With the opening of the new Fantasy Land section in late 2012 do people feel there will be a higher demand to stay at BLT or WLV for easier access to the MK? We usually stay at BCV but are thinking of switching to WLV to have easier access and spend more time at the MK.

I would expect for a while there will be a higher demand. But it will settle down and people will find that they will return to their usual routine at WDW and go back to their favorite resorts.

The Fantasyland expansion will not mean that many more new rides. Dumbo will be doubled in capacity because there will be two rides: Under the Sea: The Journey of the Little Mermaid and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Ride. The Barnstormer is beefed up into Goofy the Great Goofini. Everything else is just meet and greets with princesses and a couple of restaurants. Also the Scary Adventures of Snow White in the current Fantasyland will be closing to make room for one of the Princess Meet and Greets. I think everything else in Toon Town is gone. So I think the area is larger but not much more added to it.

There are many more updates being done to DLR in Anaheim than what any of the plans are calling for at WDW.

For our summer trips with the DGC, we've been picking BCV, but for our first trip after the expansion, we will be booking VWL. After that, I think SAB will win out over the convenience to the MK. And this is from a VWL lover!
