Inconsistent MS Policy on MVMCP Ticket Limits

This has happened to me in the past and I am wondering if others had the same experience. For the past several years, we take another family with us to either the MNSSHP or MVMCP (sometimes both).

There is a ticket limit per Member at the discounted price, but between myself and my wife, we buy a total of 8 or 9, as applicable. Most times, I call and MS tells me I have a limit, but that my wife can buy more...but a few times MS made me conference in my wife to complete the transaction. A couple times, MS said so long as one order in in my name and one order in her name, they can do it all at once.

Today, I could not get my wife by conference call and MS told me to call back. I then called back and the MS said, no my wife has to call directly, to which I mildly protested and MS put me on hold, and when she returned, said "no problem, your wife doesn't have to be on the call...we can do the order in her name without her."

In any case, seeing as I do this at least once a year, I am getting a little tired of this "dance" and wish MS would clear it up on way or another.

:confused3

We were told that the limit is per membership, not per member.

I don't think so. I was told each "Member" can purchase 5 tickets. Since both my wife and I are joint owners, we are each a Member and we have always been allowed to purchase a total of 10 tickets. It's just dependent on the MS rep whether or not my wife actually has to be on the phone with me.

Disney is nothing if not inconsistent but my info suggests it's per member and the wording on the website best matches this interpretation.

Wow! Good to know. We were going to have friends join us last year....but they didn't make it. I never thought of 5 per member...I just assumed 5 per membership.

But now that I think about it....the per member probably is it. You don't actually have to call MS....you can order through the disney website....enter your MDE account info and it will give you the DVC price. I'm guessing if your spouse has their own MDE account, they could go ahead and do the same.

If anything...it could put the policy to the test....If you purchase your five...you'll easily find out if it will let your spouse by another 5.

Here's the info from the website.
You can purchase discounted tickets for yourself and up to 5 Guests.

Just to add to that, I am the only one on my membership, but have 2 different contracts, with 2 different UY. So I have not tried it but I dont think I could by more then the 5

You should be able to buy for each master contract.
