Do most of you include your airfare in your travel insurance amount? We are traveling to WDW for 5 days (booked separately) and spending $1600 on airfare (booked separately) before our cruise. Since it is almost a year away, I'm thinking that I should include the cost of at least the airfare in the trip insurance coverage. What does everyone think? Thanks!

Yes, we included airfare in our insurance. I think that the only thing that we forgot to include was the towncar service. I don't know about you, but for me $1600 is alot of money!!!

Anything you prepay that's nonrefundable should be included in the insurance.

yes, definitely include it

This time we didn't because we are flying Jetblue. Jetblue charges a $25 fee per person to rebook flights. If we had included the cost of our tickets it would have increased the cost of our insurance by more than $25 per person.

In our case, I didn't feel it was worth to include.

Keep in mind that for the most part cancellation insurance also includes interruption insurance - should something happen and you have to return home early, or you flight is delayed (possibly causing you to miss part of your trip).
