I did take a lot of MK pictures this time - well, more than usual, so I'm glad you don't mind.
WOW!Artsy fartsy, and ALL very good!
Yeah, I think you may have caught a ghost there.![]()
Beautiful pics from all over. Just awesome! We rotate going both ways.
Girl...you can post thousands of pictures...and I would look at them over and over and over again,....absolutely love them!
Not one bit!!! Post away, post away!
As for Space Mountain - we thought it was darker and more stars, and now they have the music added too. But overall the track is the same.
I have to remember to find that picture of us on Main Street! Actually, DD has a poster in her room of the Castle and I think it has the same trees! I'm going to go look!
Sounds like a fabulous time in MK! Again your pictures are beautiful!!!
Jen is correct! There was Skyway that went from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland! We rode it when I was kid! I remember LOVING it! sitting in the gondola and moving slowly above MK! A nice breeze in your face, magic in the air![]()
You know I'm anxiously awaiting the BLT pictures![]()

That would be so cool. I would love to see it!
It was a lovely time in the MK. The crowds were low and it was bright and sunny. The only downside was the heat. It was summer hot!
That whole skyway thing intrigues me. I wish I had seen it, but I went to MK right after it opened in 1976 (yeah I'm that old) and then I didn't go again until 2002. Talk about a long wait to return. I would have loved to ride that skyway once, just once.
Ya know what - I am going to post the rest of my MK pictures this weekend, so I can get to BLT before you go!
Yes, that is the old Skyway. It was closed in the early to mid 90's I believe. If you read Realityland there is a whole history of the Skyway. One Disney employee was actually killed on it and another employee was seriously hurt, she was pushed out onto one of the gondolas and was hanging on. If I remember correctly a group of men from the Navy were near her and actually caught her so she didn't fall directly ont he pavement. That is what happened to the first employee. So Disney shut it down. I miss it though, I remember riding it with my Dad on my very first trip. It went over to Tomorrowland I think...or maybe just near the end of Fantasyland.
FANTASTIC pictures, this TR is a feast for the eyes!![]()
Some day I really am going to take the raft back over to Tom Sawyer's island. I say that ever trip, but I have yet to do it. I haven't been there since my first trip in 02. I bet there are some great picture opportunities over there.
Insert plug here for TS3. I absolutely loved this movie and it was especially poignant because Brian will be going to college next year (well - maybe - if he can get his act consistently together - whole other story) and he was a little younger than Andy when the movie first came out. Wow - did that movie hit home in a big way.
Jen had mentioned that she wanted a dole whip. We started walking in that general direction, but decided it was about time to check into BLT and get some lunch!
