Incentives from Travel agents for booking trip

I just learned that certain travel agents will give incentives for you to book a trip with them.

I know AAA will give you the special parking pass.

But wondering what types of incentives people have gotten to book there trip. I am looking in particular for Disneyworld vacation (not so much DL or cruises).

Just wondering what is out there...

My travel agent doesn't give an incentive as much as personal attention. She is on top of pin codes, dining reservations, flight prices the whole thing. Then when it is time to go she puts together a great itinerary specialized to what my son wants to do. Plus she has been to the world more times than she can count so the tips are first hand. I used to book my own, but I love booking through her now!!

Generally they don't make enough anyway to offer you anything out of their own pocket except what a PP said - being on top of pin codes, dining reservations, putting together an itinerary. You're looking for a TA who cares about your trip being a Magical Family vacation not someone who throws free things at you. Buyer Beware.

Ok thanks...I know AAA will give the special parking which is nice but I have heard that they might not be disney specialist. Have also heard some give lanyards or pins. So just figured I would see what is out there.

Choose a TA based on recommendations from people who have had great experiences. Little gifts for booking with the TA are not worthwhile if the TA isn't on top of everything to do with your reservation.

I've had TAs send me thank you gifts after the fact but those aren't the reasons I use them. I've gotten a Passporter for special needs book, hidden Mickey book, autograph photo mat, picture frame and I can't recall what else over the years but these aren't the things that bring me back to a TA. Knowing that the TA is on top of my reservation and working hard in my best interest is what brings me back. Yes, these gifts are nice, but they aren't what matter.

She always gives us a gift card or something for when we are in the World. Expected? Not at all. We've even told her not to do it, but I guess she does this for everyone.

Agents don't really make so much that they can give away free stuff, but I got a gift card from a travel agency a while back by googling "free Disney gift card."

My Agent gives all her customers a gift card, either $25 or $50 depending on the cost of the trip plus she always sends out a goodie bag with an autograph book and stuff for the kids. If you want her info I can get it to you.

It really depends on the agent and who he/she works for. Since I am an independent contractor I have freedom to do extra things for my clients over someone who works for a large agency with strict rules. I think the most important thing is that you trust your agent and you work well together. You can't put a price on that.

January every year is Disney month at AAA.
They always have incentives for going in and booking a trip during Jan.
I booked my March birthday trip at the beginning of January this year.

You always get the standard incentives when booking through AAA...a diamond parking card, Coupons for various things around the world, A special AAA storytime experience with a Disney Princess, special parade viewing spot.
$15.00 food coupon for Planet Hollywood.

In past years I have gotten Disney gift cards for various amounts.
This year, I got a box full of goodies:
A Disney CD, a Disney Photobook, a WDW baseball cap, a WDW totebag, and a Birnbaum's 2014 Disney World Guide.

I always use the same TA at AAA.
She is fantastic, and has taught me alot.

Would you mind sharing who you use? I am considering a TA for that very reason...I do not have time to stay in top of pins , discounts and ADRs. I was surprised how few recommendations I got when I posted for them. Thanks.

I like to use a TA for the personal service and the incentives of Disney gift cards that she throws in for booking. She also gives gift cards for referrals that book and travel with her. Wonderful service.
