Inaugural Parade

We are going!!!
My dad is in the parade and he scored us tickets for the seated areas!! I'm soooo excited and the kids are thrilled.
We leave tomorrow and will be back Tuesday night.

DS16 misses 2 exams but one is history and she was thrilled that he could go, and a little jealous too.

Will be off the boards for the most part. I will post pics as soon as we get back.
I will keep in touch with Nan so she knows when we arrive safely.

Very! He has worked so hard on this project, and this was his end goal.

I'm glad we get to go too. The kids are so excited, especially DD. She is thrilled that she gets to see the President.

Ok, so where in the parade will he be? Is there a separate section for CT?

Not sure what exact position he is in but he is in Division 1, which would be the first grouping behind the President.

no one.
The kids were going to carry the flags and DD was going to ride but he thought he'd have a better chance of being accepted if he were alone. Over 2000 groups applied and 63 were selected.

I know!! I called mom and dad.. they are gonna watch too.. since I know about where he will be now, I will dvr it and I will tell them the additional info... mom is very excited because my Pappy, her dad, use to drive an ambulance in WWII.. so this is a big deal for us too!!! Just another thing to make you smile!!!
