Inappropriate topic 420?

Ahh the classic "I can't prove it but I know it is right/wrong" punchline. So, right and wrong are determined solely by inherent knowledge. Woo-hoo! I get the feeling I'm in a college dorm with a group of people who have partaken in this thread's controversial subject and are discussing philosophy :rotfl2:

And slug, try this:

I, as an adult with free will and no external compulsions, decide to sell myself into slavery for $10 million. My owner is kind and compassionate and we both fulfill our respective obligations. Granted that selling someone else into slavery against their will is wrong; but why is what I did wrong? The following exercises will be left to the students:

1. How is this different from selling one's services, as in a typical job?
2. How is this different from a marriage?
3. Is anyone still taking this thread seriously?
4. Can God create a rock so heavy he can't lift it?

IMHO - YMMV - Be well!

Well in regards to #3. Yes and No, and for #4... well... uh... AHH! :faint:

I'm not in the right set of mind to think deep enough for that one :smokin:

I have in the past.
I have just recently.
I will when I go back.
I don't do it on rides.
I don't walk around in public doing it.
I enjoy it while I'm there, just like the drinking around the world threads or the Monorail drinking threads.
There have been many threads here about who would start smoking again if it were legal, and the vast majority always says yes.
Drug Abuser does not equal Drug User.

Nearly every single abuser of the harder drugs started with marijuana. A coincidence?? I don't think so.

I think they all started with mothers milk. You are way over generalizing.

I don't know what it smell like so I can't really say if I have smelled it or not.

Truthfully, no. I have never noticed anyone smoking pot. That doesn't mean it isn't happening, but I have never noticed it.

Now there's a study I missed! The one where they studied pot heads to see if they were breast fed, who would have thunk it!!

I guess that's an arguement for bottle feeding from birth.

I think they pipe the smoke in to keep people happy and easily amused (and hungry). (sorry, totally jumping in on pg 20 without reading any of the replies...)

Also totally jumping in on page 20 (although I think I was one of the first posters on page 1) to admit that I had no idea what the "420" referred to until a few days ago, when another thread asked about it. I am so out of touch it's pathetic...

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I haven't read the replies, either. I still don't know what 420 is...

I've never smelled pot at WDW. Not that I've ever thought to try and smell it. ;) This thread did remind me of the time in the early 70's when my brother was kicked out of Disneyland for smoking pot. :smokin: Yikes, I'll never forget the page for my parents... :scared1:

That is the text. I would say that you are wrong.

You're only quoting part of the statute. There was a separate section permitting drinking in your home, or furnishing guests in your home with liquor. In addition, when the 18th amendment was ultimately enacted, it did not prohibit possession -- just manufacture, sale, and distribution, making some of the provisions of the Volstead Act unconstitutional and unenforceable.

I've gotten a whiff of it a few times over the years here and there. I don't pay any attention and I just move on to whatever I plan to do. I don't consider it any of my business and I certainly don't plan to play cop just because someone is smoking a little pot. JMO.
