Inability to sit for long periods

I'm going to close this thread because the question has been answered and is becoming argumentative.

Original question/concern:
My mum has a problem with her back which means she can't sit for long periods (walking, standing, kneeling and lying are all doable). 20/25 minutes is ok but then she starts to get really uncomfortable without a stand break.
The easiest and most obvious solutions are:
- Knowing which attractions would require sitting for longer than she can tolerate and avoiding them

- Knowing which shows are longer than she can tolerate.

- Talking to CMs at shows to ask if there is anywhere she would be able to stand for a while if needed. DAS (Disability Access Service) is NOT needed for that.
The easiest way would probably be to sit near the end of the row on the exit side and stand in the aisle if needed. For most shows, guests enter through doors at one end of the row and exit at the other end of the row. So, going all the way to the end of the row is usually going to put you toward the exit side.

Possibly useful, but probably way overkill for her needs:
- rollator or wheelchair
  • because she could use the mobility seating in shows. Not all is in the back and not all shows have standing space in the back. In some cases, the mobility seating is directly in front of the back wall and the only places to stand are the device 'parking' spots. In some, there is an aisle, then more seating behind, so standing would block view of others. There is usually one seat for each mobility device, so she would be away from her family.
  • because she might be able to get a cushion that would make sitting more tolerable.
Would not be allowed:
Standing, kneeling, lying down or otherwise not sitting on moving attractions. Kneeling or lying down in shows MIGHT bring a CM to see if medical assistance is needed.

One other suggestion - she might want to contact her MD and/or a therapist to see if there are any techniques or exercises that would help her avoid pain while sitting.
