In the mood to organize a MEET!!

Hi there,
I have approached this idea a couple of times. But I've decided to persue it. I have several people in my church who own or manage Beach front hotels. As well as the president of Americrown, Daytona USA Pit Shop at Daytona Speedway. They all have some great rooms available. Speedway would be a bit expensive, even if Mike gave me a break.

What I'd love to do, is a friday/saturday meet. With a dinner/party on friday and pin meet on saturday. With door prizes, games snacks and possible lunch.

What I'd like to know up front, is how many of you would be interested in participating. There would be a "event fee" as I'm not made of money, sorry. It would be for cost only, no profit for me involved.

Please post here if you would be interested. And if you have any thoughts/ideas. I live in Daytona beach area for those of you who don't know. I was thinking of doing it late summer or fall. I want a good amount of time to plan and get ready.

I would love to come to your meet, but I think we have two problems.

First of all you are about 750 miles away from me.

Second problem: When I head South on I-95, and reach the junction at I-4, I <i>do not believe I am capable of turning my car in any direction <b>other than</b> Orlando! </i>

Hmmm...sounds cool. I just don't know if we will be able to swing it financially. I was hoping to use a freebie hotel stay we have to go to the pin event in June and that would even be a bit of a stretch for us this year. Count us as a maybe at best. My honey has family in Deland, so we would not need a hotel for an event in this area. Maggie

I wouldn't want an overnighter. But would be happy for a meet.
So little weekend time anyway. And then it means boarding the dogs, and more time/$ consumed.
