In the mood for a hair style change

I'm thinking about changing my hair. It's long, basically all one length except for bangs. I'm thinking about a long shag, something like the one in the link, maybe a little shorter.

The hairstyle in that picture...NOPE, really don't like it. It makes her hair look butchered and stringy, not at ALL flattering, IMHO

There are plenty of layered cuts that would look nicer. Is your hair thick or thin? Straight or wavy? Hopefully you can find a good stylist...and a better PICTURE...to describe what you're looking for.

And finally, GOOD FOR YOU for going for a change, I'm always for that...it's only hair, it will grow back if you decide you don't like it after all.

Is your hair thin and straight like that? I would definitely go shorter in the back because that has "modern mullet" written all over it. I love shags, though. My hair drags down my face when it is all one length (especially if it past my shoulders). I have to have some layering.

I like it. I think if you have the body type, personality and dress the way this hair calls for, along with having the type hair that'll do it, it should be good. I don't think it looks like a modern mullet or stringy, but that's just me. I could never pull it off but I like it.

I just changed my hairstyle. I went to a new stylist recommended by someone and told her I was sick of my hair and the long, straight, boring. I want layers and feathering in for Farrah.

She cut it up to my shoulders, gave me layers and shortened the stupid long (bang) hair to my ears.

It looks great! Even my DH made a comment and my kids.

I'm looking for opinions. My hair is straight, on the thick side but not really thick. It's fine too, meaning that I have a lot of hair but each hair is fine. I'm 25, 5'5.5" with a curvy body.

IMHO (not that it counts for much ), I don't really like it. It does look stringy and unhealthy. I too was SICK and TIRED of having the same old hair and always having longer hair. I took this picture to my stylist a month ago:

And I'm in love with shorter hair now! . Good luck with whatever you decide and, honestly, if you like the haircut then go for it!

Mystery Machine, I kind of have a Farrah cut right now too! I don't think my stylist meant for it to be. I told her I wanted something different, and some layers. My hair is naturally curly, and she styled it super straight and teased it high on top. I went home and cried. But when I washed and dried it, it turned into a Farrah look I can live with for awhile!

Thanks. I like Tiffani Theissen and I like that hair style. Maybe that with bangs.

Wow, I so love a lot of the styles shown here! I wish I could find something that would look good with my big ol' round face. Maybe I could get a style that wraps around my chins to hide 'em...

I do really like that last style there, the blonde. I don't think it would work on my head tho

Yeah, I don't like that cut on her though. I do like the first pic of the girl with the reddish hair you posted (I'm so not good at multi-quoting ). It looks healthy and pretty.

Also, when I took the pic into my stylist it prompted an hour conversation about Saved by the Bell and 90210

Where are you all finding these hairstyle pictures? I'm getting mine done tomorrow and really need suggestions!

I'm 44, but look much younger (with freckles and everything). My hair is dark brown, fine, but thick, and wavy. Frizzy when it's humid. I like to have longish bangs so I can sweep them to the side.

Find me a hairstyle!!
