In the Market for a one-cup coffee maker

am sitting here drinking "Caribu Blend" right now..............have Keurig both in my home and my office...................Roll Krew......................or i guess i should say................WE ARE....KEURIG KREW..........:)

We have had the Tassimo for over a year and have been very happy with it.
My favourites are the Columbian coffee, Latte and the kids love the Milka hot chocolate :goodvibes

We just got a Kuerig for Christmas. And it was the best gift ever. We have 4coffee drinkers and we all like it different. I like flavored, mom likes mild, dad likes dark bold battery acid, dh likes tea, and dd loves hot chocolate. So It's perfect for us. We each get what we want. My favorite is Chocolate Glazed Doughnut. We still order out K-cups online because we can't find our favorite in stores. But with the sample pack that came with the machine we have pleanty to last. Its been nice to make a cup of tea so quickly this past week since I have the flu. Love it...Love it...Love it......

I got a Tassimo for Christmas, I found here in Canada I have seen more disks for Tassimo than K.

I have ordered from their Website and it arrived within two days, our future shop has free delivery on orders of the disks over $20.

My hubby bought it for me and seems to love it even more than me.

We also have reduced our Starbucks consumption. When you can have 8 lattes for the price of one and only 60 caleries. It is fabulous.

We got a Keurig for Christmas and it seems pretty nice, other than the price of the K-cups. We did get both a refillable cup and some of the My-caps which a friend at work recommended.

I have a Cuisinart Cup-o-matic (I think that's its name; it's at work.) that is a Senseo clone. The pods are a lot less expensive than the Keurig cups and the quality seems to be roughly the same. I don't know if real Senseo machines have the problem, but my Cuisinart is loud, to the point that people will walk down the hall to look in my office to be sure I'm not torturing small animals or something.

For cost, I'd recommend Senseo, but pods aren't quite as readily available as K-cups or T-disks, so that might affect your personal choice. Amazon is a fine source, as long as I have a couple days notice that I'm running out.

We used to have a Tassimo, but we were SO sick of how loud it was and how coffee grounds got everywhere once the top was opened to remove the disc. Granted, we had an older model (when Tassimo was still owned by Braun) but we are so happy with our Keurigs (we have two in the house now!) that there isn't a reason to go back to Tassimo. I really liked the lattes, but there was never enough foam, and IMO, if you purchase a milk frother for $40 from any kitchen supply store, you can make KILLER lattes! Just my opinion...

The newer Tassimos (made by Bosch) are not loud at all and I have had no problems at all with coffee grounds.

I love my Keurig! I have the mini and it sooo convenient to only drink one hot cup at a time. I also like that I can take it in a to-go cup to work. My Starbuck runs have diminished considerably. The variety is amazing and I like the seasonal faves. (I wait for Pumpkin Spice every year and stock up)

We got the Keurig as a gift two years ago and we love it. If you run out of K-cups you can use coffee from a bag or can by purchasing the single dispenser attachment you can buy separately. It works pretty easy

How is the foam on the lattes?

So far I have only tried the Starbucks Tassimo lattes. There is nice layer of foam, but probably not as much as you would get if you had it made at an actual Starbucks. I have read in Amazon reviews that the milk used with European and Canadian brands of lattes (e.g. Jacobs, Gevalia) produce a lot more foam - but I have not tried them yet.
