I don't need any more MagicBands.
The standard MB's are transferable. You need to delete them from your account and the new owner activates them using the number on the back. The new MB+ I'm not sure about.I wish MagicBands were transferrable and I could gift some of our older ones. Seems like such an eco-waste problem to have them in a drawer/landfill. Would also be nice to open resort doors with a smart watch for those who want to track steps/health but don't want both a smart watch and MagicBand; yes, pulling out the MDE app works, but I'm apparently challenged to pull it off successfully, much to my wife's amusement!
Good luck expanding your collection, @Brian Noble !
That's not true. Once tied to a MDE account, you can't swap it to another one.The standard MB's are transferable. You need to delete them from your account and the new owner activates them using the number on the back. The new MB+ I'm not sure about.
What really helps is they have a pretty small and crappy selection for pre arrival currently.Huh, I wonder what designs they have for pre-arrival? I'll just take a look.
But I don't need any more MagicBands.
That's true - and then my wife sees 2 she has to have at the Arts Festival..... and the F&G Festival..... and the Holiday Festival.....!What really helps is they have a pretty small and crappy selection for pre arrival currently.
You can deactivate them from your account. I had to because I had too many and it made the new and newer ones work kind of wonky. The FD told me it was because I had too many linked and to deactivate some. I did and voila - no more issues!I just wish you could delete old magic bands and cards from your account, I have 16 cards/bands.....

You're*Your just wrong, I've done it more than once.
I only have a couple that are active, the reset are deactivated, but I wish you could just deactivate and delete. I think we have thrown away all the ones that are deactivated, so it makes no sense to have an account with them in it.You can deactivate them from your account. If you sign into your MDE account and choose "MagicBands and Cards", then choose the person, and if you scroll down, it should give you the option to deactivate each band associated with your account. You can reactivate or "report as lost" there, too. It will group them according to the type of band they are, I have a bunch under MB+ and then others as just the regular old MB's. There is even an option for admission cards and to create/change a PIN to use the band to charge to a room account. We actually needed guest relations at Disney remove some for us.
