In search of the best Club Level Experience

GF_Royal_Palms_Club_Food_Presentation-600x400-1.jpg

Just for reference this was posted many years ago. This was even before they added the beverage coolers. Offerings have been greatly reduced over the years but they have gotten better over the 2015-2016 dismal era.

We have stayed at a few CL's and of the ones we stayed at, I would rank them:

1. Wilderness Lodge - best food hands down!!
2. Polynesian - if based on location and the view of the castle alone - it would be number 1!
3. Yacht Club
4. Beach Club

We have enjoyed our CL stays, but they are very expensive, and unless I get a crazy good deal on it, I don't book CL.

Sorry,

I did not take any and I know they have changed over the last several trips we have taken. I know from personal experience that they do not offer Heineken or Blue Moon any longer. I honestly don't remember what exactly we had other than a local brew they rec'd and I think maybe Corona although that sounds odd. I do know they had Amaretto as that is my evening drink of choice. From previous trips I recall Courvoisier, Grand Marnier, Kahlua, and usually some variety of Bailey's. We don't usually care for the wine choices they offer and usually just purchase our own. Sorry I could not be more help.

No problem, disappointed that Blue Moon is gone seeing as most of their beer choices are poor in the first place. Thanks for the info!

Wilderness Lodge last January was really, really nice. The rooms would be too small for more than 2 people, in my opinion, but the lounge and offerings and CMs were awesome.

Your experience with disposable plates and cutlery is not the standard, something unusual must have happened. Poly is my least favorite CL, especially because of the lounge offerings. If you are used to international CL lounges you will be very underwhelmed by Disney. Years ago the offerings and service were much better. We are willing to pay for the convenience of the offerings and often the room locations. We eat very lightly and outside of some signature dinners do most of our dining within the lounge. We run and use the fitness facilities every morning and being able to finish and eat breakfast in the lounge is invaluable for us.

Concerning the first bolder statement - that’s good to know.

I agree with the quick and easy breakfast option. It’s a constant “fight”between my husband and I on vacation. He wants a full, sit down served breakfast but I want to get moving q

We've been staying club level for 30+ years (including with parents ha!) we still do it generally for room type and in most cases room location. we have small kids so we also enjoy being able to grab snacks or drinks in the lounge.

Personally I would not stay club level for the alcohol or food. The selections are fine if you want to grab something quick while changing for dinner but we don't love what they offer. We've stayed at all of the club levels except for wilderness lodge. My choices would be based on food selection, lounge appeal...view....seating....as well as the location of the club lounges/club areas. We greatly prefer the mk area and akl club levels over the Epcot area club levels. So big jump (in our opinion) between 4 and 5.

1. Grand Floridian rpc
2. Polynesian
3. Animal kingdom lodge
4. Contemporary
5. Boardwalk
6. Beach club
7. Yacht club

This is all so helpful. THANK YOU!!!!

I did go ahead and book AKL because GF was booked for our dates. But I have learned I need to make sure I try GF in the main building before I decide if CL is worth it in general. I am really curious about BW now, too!

Im trying to decide between the Grand Floridian Sugarloaf club level standard room vs the Polynesian Club Level standard view. Any preferences?
