Okay, catching up.
Nancy.

Thanks. I was in fine form for Monday's tests. One I was supposed to be there at least half a day. It was like I was in an airport bumping my flight time up to standby. I was on a mission. And this hospital was well run.
I did the ultrasound and chest xray so quickly that I worked the system to get me moved up the ladder for the CT and was out within three hours. SCORE.
Two - I did not have body - past sh!t - anxiety in comparison. SCORE.
Three - I had fun with the CT. I don't know if any of you have had an abdominal CT but there's a wee bit of drama involved. It's called dye. You see this dye creates drama. Because - and it's the kind of lottery chance situation - people have died. The chances - almost none - but still.
So the guy who takes me down says, "you've never had this before, right?". I said yes. He slaps a bracelet on me (they don't do this for any other tests of course why would they? - I swear they do this for fast movement if something occurs) and says, "oh so you know about the dye?".
Yes I know about the dye.
So I go in and get "you've never had this before?" again. And answer Yes. Oh, okay but I still have to tell you about the dye.
Yes I know about the dye.
And she's so surprised and asked me how I remember after five years about the dye. And I say "let's see - maybe because at St. Mike's the woman says to me as she greets me for the CT - I have to tell you that I'm going to put some dye in you and you could die and please sign this consent form for us".
PRICELESS.

The technician and I had a smile.
The dye - let me tell you - is fascinating. Where is the cutie?

to be curious about fascinating things. As soon as it goes in you feel it - it's warm/hot - and you can literally feel its route. And it's fast. It's so fascinating.
So when I'm finished the CT I think "wow no consent form here".

But she gives me this card to put in my purse. What's this for?
Oh, you could get an allergy up to seven days after - we give you this card so that you can show someone in that moment.
OMG. I swear - priceless. No moment for me!
So good fun.

Paula -
Loved it.
Gave me great joy to read your post. Great joy.
I mean really - I'm sure a good step for all of us is to see ourselves at goal. Some of us on this thread should just go look in a full length mirror.

I'm so pleased for you. So happy and pleased. Never give up on the vision that you saw. Cause you are primed for success Paula. Really.

And I got in a $19 hair cut at Aveda's hairdressing school in my old neighbourhood. Tough to get in. I always try for a cancellation. That's the only place I've gotten it cut in the last five/six years. And I haven't had my hair cut - besides by me

- for at least a year or more so SCORE.
It looks great. Pleased.

Kelly - that picture is Korean barbeque - doesn't make it look appetizing but it's something that rivals Indian for me. It's all I ate in Japan practically. You cook it yourself right at your table.
AND WORLD CUP IS HUGE in Toronto. Toronto is the most multicultural city in the world. Overtakes NYC only - and this is only my guess - b/c Canada lets in immigrants from certain countries that the US does not.
And we really support everyone's home country so WORLD CUP is everything here. People sneak away from work. Have flags on their cars. I lived on two busy downtown streets so the honking after this or that country's win is LOUD and fun.
Have fun!
