In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

You know, I was just tonight reading something out loud to Nick from this thread, explaining again how much support I get from it. And he nodded, like, yeah, I got it babe. :goodvibes

So lots of love back to you, Lisa, an to you, too, Lyz.

Also. Lisa. I have been Ms. Emotional for the last three months. I get it. It's good, sometimes, but freaking exhausting.

My social life...you know I totally leave like 75% of it out, right? ;) I have a super active social life, it's true. Last night movie, with Jodi. Today lunch with Jodi. Tomorrow party. Three days of pool club and shopping with Kim. And this is a slow week. :rotfl:

You know what I'm doing right now? Cleaning for tomorrow and watching my Tivo'd MTV movie awards. Cause they are sooo Twilight-y!

Lyz. It's just one day. One day is nothing. Pick yourself back up tomorrow.

:lmao::rotfl::lmao:

I know, eh? I just had a flippin slurpie. I never have had these sugar mountains in my life. WTH. And it's become my sudden drug of homelessness choice. :rotfl:

My Gosh I think someome spiked my slurpie. I'm hallucinating and emotionally gone.

I understand Lisa. I can't believe the friendships I made. The lifeline of support I've found.

I couldn't agree more.

So glad that Nick gets it. As for Ms. Emotional, you have plenty of reasons, but yet you keep moving through it. ;) Rock on.

Kat - you know what I absolutely ADORE about you. You are so straight forward. I loved reading about Chicago and how you said, once in awhile, you feel it. That's you. The truth - not trying to make someone feel better. And in the end you did. Because the fact is I never wanted to move and once in awhile I will feel it too. Life.

I am excited about the new place folks. :goodvibes Seeing those pics by surprise I guess was like seeing an old love in a picture.

Thank you. I don't get much of that, I usually just offend people because I am too brutally honest. I have a LOT of trouble with not telling the truth and/or sugar-coating anything (at least to anyone I don't work for/with) and it gets me in trouble a lot.

Liz, woo-HOO on the weight loss!!

I have a tattoo. Hurt like a SOB.

Everyone who has been gone, good to see you back.

Man, y'all have been busy... I am back to catching up on TV...

Lyz ~ tell hubs to buy you a new Coach bag at the outlet. He owes you for that copying and filing. Question of the day ~ big wealth and for several reasons. First I would create a restaurant that specializes in healthy food at a good price and sell franchise rights (good for you desserts would be the biggest draw). Great coffee & tea is also a must (including lots of sugar free drinks). Then I would hire a personal trainer to haul my rear end out of bed to get my day started right to get that kick butt body. Finally, I would become a female Bill Gates and start up my own philanthropic foundation. Love the pic!

I LOVE how you have this all worked out. It's all in the details.

Did I tell you, 2 weeks ago, I drove 45 minutes to the outlet malls, walked into coach, didn't see anything I couldn't live without, walked back out and drove back home. It was very satisfying, cause I was dying to know what I was missing. Turns out, nothing. Liz, I know you'll understand this.

Amiee - also, I never did get the purse update with pictures. That might be more important than the trip report.

I have a tattoo. Hurt like a SOB.

Kat! How do I not know this? Or did I forget? Tell me what, where, when????

Just lifted weights. I feel good. The shakey fatigued muscles good.

Amy - my 13year old gets J14, and everytime I see a pic of Edward/RPatz I think of you.

I'll take the bod.* And if it really is perfect, I'll just strip and earn the cash!* :rotfl2::lmao:
:lmao: I just snort-laughed!
Holy crap!!!!!* Did you just say you've never had a sunburn Snow White?
Never had sunburn!
Some of us grew up in the era of baby oil frying.* :surfweb:
:scared1: I think the lowest factor Suncream Ive ever used is factor 15! And that day it wasn't particularly sunny! :rotfl:
Hey All -I'm sorry, i've been inexcusably MIA forever.
Sorry to hear about your Grandad
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Oh my.* red wine.* Empty stomach.* Maximum impact.
:rotfl:
Oh - quick add.Weighed in, lost 4.4lbs.* Also, Lyz, adorable pic!
Fantastic Liz! :cool1:
And so much of that has to do with all of you.* I am so incredibly grateful.* I thank you from the bottom of my heart.* :lovestruc
 I feel incredibly lucky to have found this thread - thanks to Kat!

Im the same Kat. People who don't really know me could think Im quite abrupt - im not, I just don't take kindly to BS and such.
Really, I think if people don't want the truth they shouldn't ask :lmao:

Well, the rain came today! It started around 5am and it was so loud it woke me up! It hasn't stopped yet, and there are now frogs outside my back door! :rotfl:

In place of exercise I cleaned out my spare room - moved boxes, furniture, clothes, rubbish etc - took me 3 hours and I feel like I did a total body workout!

Good morning!

I was up at 8am, cleaning. Please tel me why I clean my kitchen and dining area floors before people come - they only need to be cleaned the next day again! But here I am. I made Emily wipe down all the chairs with a damp cloth. She got into, I think. Now onto the upstairs - my bedroom and the hallway. Bath is last, naturally.

So you ever wonder how we survived before Swiffer? I washed my floors then, but what a pain it was!

Morning! Lots of house projects going today. LOTS. OMG, getting overwhelmed just thinking about them.

Out to dinner with my family (parents included) and off to the beach for fireworks tomorrow night, but that is the extent of our "special" plans.

LYZ--awesome job on the weight lifting!

LIZ--enjoy the party!

I feel like I might not make it to the party. So tired. And might kill a family member - grandparents included. Can I have gold star if I don't fight with anyone before 5pm tonight?

:lmao:

Liz--I love my Swiffer! :lovestruc I feel like we have supercleaned this house 3 times in the last week. Before SIL got here last thursday, Before Delena's party Saturday, and afterwards.

Lyz--J14, is that a teen mag? I used to get one called tiger beat in the mail.

Lazy morning here. We'll probably head out soon to do some errands. I am contemplating a nap this afternoon. My 5k does not start until 1130pm!!

I go to bed early last night and the board suddenly becomes on fire. I had like 2-1/2 pages to catch up on this morning. Sorry I missed the party...

Amy - you must take a nap this afternoon. Not just because of the race, but naps totally rock!

Liz - awesome job on the loss. I'll give you a gold star if you don't argue with your family today. Good luck. Plus - love the fact that Nick gets it about this group...

Lyz - weightlifting? Awesome job there girl!!!!

Lisa - yesterday was a rough day for you so I am sending you hugs... You are right though, the lifeline that we have here is pretty darn cool. :goodvibes

Kelly - I am still shocked at the whole never had a sunburn thing. You are going to be young looking forever... maybe Kelly is part vampire too??? hmmmm

Erika - good luck with the projects and have fun this weekend. Um core?

Kat - don't ever stop being who you are m'kay? We love you just the way you are.

Stacey - sorry to hear about your granddad. sending you hugs...

Amiee - can't wait for the next installment of the trip report.

Sunny - welcome back! We missed you around here. Good luck at the WW meeting. I'm sure you will be awesome!

Nancy - how are the bruised and bee stung feet feeling? Hopefully better by now?

Ronda - hope the computer issues at home are taken care of.

Lisa PR - where are you? Do I need to send someone out to look for you?

It is going on 11:00AM here and I have three more hours to waste (oops I mean work). The day hasn't been too bad so far. Just really quiet. I am off to a concert tonight with my sister and some folks from her office (total 80's flashback of Def Leppard, Cheap Trick and wait for it... Poison!) I am laughing at myself for agreeing to attend this show. I am looking forward to Def Leppard, but the other two should be kind of funny. We'll have fun and that is all that matters right.

I am working out bright and early tomorrow morning with Jesse and am then off to Binghamton tomorrow for an air show. The Navy's Blue Angels are performing so that should be cool (taking lots of sunscreen with me as I don't want the sunburn that usually comes with these things). Sunday is a day spent with Mom and Dad. First golf with Dad and then just hanging out at camp - should be heavenly.

So that is my story for the weekend. I'm sure I'll be checking in from time to time but hope you all have a great weekend if I miss any of you.

Paula

Holy cow you guys were busy last night!

Just back from my bike ride - just shy of 20 miles. :thumbsup2 Did my good deed for the day and stopped to assist a stranded cyclist who had a flat tire.

AND. Just to prove I'm not COMPLETELY insane....I received an email from Norwich University this morning. Seth does indeed have to report on Aug. 20th because he is a scholarship winner. They have all kinds of ceremonies and events Thurs-Sat for these kids and their parents. Arrival day for the non-scholarship ROTC kids is August 23rd.

Paula - the concert will be fun.

Amy - yes, teen mag. J14 = just for teens, but I read it when Mol is done.

Nancy - glad you got that taken care of. Would have sucked to miss all the ceremonies.

Kat! How do I not know this? Or did I forget? Tell me what, where, when????

Just lifted weights. I feel good. The shakey fatigued muscles good.

It is somewhere that most people can't see it, I got it when I was 19 (and sober), and it is something to remind me of college. Honestly, I forget it's there most of the time. My parents still don't know.

Yay on the lifting weights!!!

 I feel incredibly lucky to have found this thread - thanks to Kat!

I am glad you joined us!! :goodvibes

My problem lies not in the telling the truth when asked, it lies more in offering the truth when NOT asked!!

11:30!! Wow. I guess it will be cooler, then... I personally prefer 11:30PM to 7AM, but that is just me. Is there beer after??

Kat - don't ever stop being who you are m'kay? We love you just the way you are.

Thanks Paula!!

Sounds like a good weekend.

I am about to be let free from prison, I mean work... I am not sure how much computer time I will have this weekend, all depends on whether or not we get involved in a wiring project. Hope everyone has a great holiday!

Hello! Sounds like everyone is doing great. My cable internet was on and off a lot yesterday. What did I do before internet? :confused3 Hey, I was thin before I got the internet. I just thought about it, and it's true.

I'm still on my plan. Today is day 4 for me. Wow, this is so hard, but I have stuck strictly to my plan. I am glad that it's cooler in the lower 70s here. I don't have any shorts or capris that fit. I'm only going to weigh on Monday morning to keep myself from becoming scale obsessed like before.

We're having a big cookout tomorrow, but most of the items I cannot have. That's okay though. I'm going to try to get some items together for myself.

I hope everyone has a great 4th of July weekend!!

Kat--No beer. :sad2: :sad: My 8 miler in VT in a couple weeks has beer though! :thumbsup2 I do have some wine chilling for when I get home!

The race tonight benefits a ton of local charities. There is a 10k, 5k and 1 mile fun run. About 2,000 people run. It is cool since it totally takes over the causeway out to one of the beaches.

I am off to contemplate my race outfit. Then we'll catch some fireworks and head over to the race.

:thumbsup2 Having a plan in place is so important!

We're having a big family gathering bbq tomorrow as well. Unfortunately my family is FULL of incredible cooks  Since we are hosting, I'm going to plan on a boca burger to throw on the grill and plenty of fresh veggies. I may make some hummus too..... Oh how I love me some hummus

Amy - good luck with your race tonight! :yay:

Dawn, Steph, Roddy, LisaPR, LisaZ - everyone we haven't seen in a while....hope you all are doin' well! Miss you guys :flower3:

Then we'll catch some fireworks and head over to the race.

Fireworks WERE part of my plan for today. Don't think it's going to happen though. It's 7:00, and since we had a day with NO RAIN :worship: Stephen has been out working on a new fence all.day. There is no way he's coming in before dark.

<sigh> oh well.
