In Search of My Body - Not the One I Ate... Vol. 6: Goddesses just want to have fun

Good morning everyone!

Well Im at work...again! And after a night on the Havana rum its not pretty :lmao:

Erika - Im LOVING your 'Real Time' TR - the pic of the girls looking over the back of the ride is great, and the last picture of the two of them together is simply gorgeous! :lovestruc Have fun today! :cool1:

Hi Everyone - I WILL be back tonight to post my food :flower3:

Ohh, Kel - I like that "RTTR".

EriKa - I am pining for Disney Fix! What an awesome trip! We love the Stepmother & Sisters. The sisters were fighting with Molli over who got which Jonas brother and the Stepmother was being all businesslike with Ms. Businesslike Maddi. The Plaza! We love love love the Plaze. Must eat there every trip, if not twice. It's perfection. I can't believe how much you got accomplished. Glad you got to catch up with J. I'm so happy for you. You definately needed this.

Nancy - you do so freaking much! Woman you are insane.

Ok, gotta go to softball. Will catch up later.

Lord help me. Stephen & Nate just returned from DMV. Nate has his permit :car:

The Plaza! We love love love the Plaze. Must eat there every trip, if not twice. It's perfection.

I love the plaza too. Yum-o sandwiches. And the perfect place to watch Tink come down from the castle during Wishes :tinker: <sigh>

Nancy - you do so freaking much! Woman you are insane.

I do. and I am. Stephen and I actually had a *discussion* about that last night. I call it a discussion because we never fight. ever. really. We don't always agree with one another, but never fight. Anywho...I'm once again in over my head. If only I didn't require SLEEP

on that note...I'm off to work for a while. Hope softball goes well.

Congrats to Nate on the permit!

Trip Report – Day 3

Another awesome, awesome day!

Slept in a bit (at least what counts for sleeping in when you have 3 kids!) and woke up around 8.

DisneyMay2009-Day3001.jpg

Quick breakfast in the villa and then off to Epcot. This is one of the reasons I love, love, love BCV. You just can’t beat a 2 minute walk to Epcot. Plus you get to enter via World Showcase (btw, what IS World Showcase????). Got there right at 9am when the park opened. Sweet.

First up was Test Track. I ran to get FPs for Soarin while J and the kids took a more leisurely stroll to TT. It was a walk-on at that hour, so of course we did it twice. Then we headed back over to the other side of Future World and did Nemo, Turtle Talk, and Figment (which has a special place in my heart since we got engaged on that ride—back when it was still good with Dream Finder).

DisneyMay2009-Day3003.jpg

Quick side trip to see the Jammitors. We have 2 drummers in the family, so this is always a must-do for us. Jeff has seen them so many times that they know him. It is his dream retirement job to be a Jammitor.

After watching another awesome performance, our FPs for Soarin’ were ready. This was one of the only glitches in the trip. We were next to go on Soarin’ and it went down. Fortunately, it was only about 15 minutes before it was back online. So I am glad we waited it out. TT and Soarin’ are both family favs.

Don’t laugh, but after Soarin’ we did Circle of Life and Living with the Land. Normally we blow these off, but I told the kids that this was their science lesson for the day and explained that they would have to write about it later. And surprisingly, everyone liked both attractions!

At this point it was time for lunch, so we went to Coral Reef. This was definitely and iffy choice. I was nervous as it tends to be a hit-or-miss place. The first piece of good news was that we were seated by the tank! YES! Perfect and we all enjoyed it! Second bonus came when the food was actually good! We left full and happy and re-energized. It was in the mid-90s today and sticky. VERY hot for us.

It is Flower & Garden time in Epcot, which always makes the park look SO awesome. Took lots of pics of topiarys, etc.

After lunch we hit Spaceship Earth (really love it since its refurb) and Honey I shrunk the Audience (desperately needs updating or something new) and then back the resort for some pool time. It was still before 2! Everything we did all day was a walk-on except for Soarin’.

Lots of fun at the pool today! Riley and Kelly were chosen to do a dance with the entire lifeguard staff. Funny! Jeff and I drank many a cocktail as well as played with the kids in the pool. Totally fun and refreshing on such a hot hot day.

While at the pool I met my first fellow podcast cruiser. She was wearing a Dis Unplugged shirt, so of course I went right up to her and I asked if she was going on the cruise tomorrow and she said yes. We chatted for a bit and the kids all met each other so at least they know someone before getting on the ship.

After getting dried off and cleaned up, we headed back into Epcot for dinner and some World Showcase time. Dinner was at Chefs de France and was, get ready for it, AWFUL. This has earned a great rep in the last year or two (and we have had wonderful meals here in the past) but today was dreadful. Our only bad food so far. Catch this…we ordered a bottle of wine, two apps, and two entrées. We told them to bring the apps and entrées at the same time since we were all sharing everything (the apps were flatbreads which make a great meal for the kids). So before they brought they even brought the wine, they came out with our entrees!!! No wine, no apps, just entrees. Um, no. Bring it back, please. Then we got our wine (great bottle) and all the food eventually came out at the same time as requested. But it was, sadly, not good.

After dinner we took a lovely, leisurely stroll all the way around WS, stopping along the way for a drink, or ice cream for the kids, or to let the kids play in some of the many playgrounds that are set up for Flower & Garden.

Illuminations and then back here for the night. Kids went to bed and J and I stayed up again and talked with cocktails and had a blast. We are very connected right now, which is great.

Tomorrow, we cruise!

Oh! The other big deal of the day was that the kids’ passports FINALLY arrived! OMG, I have been SO SO SO stressed about this for weeks. We had their passports sent in weeks and weeks ago and they didn’t come before we left. I have been a wreck about it. I had my mom check yesterday and they arrived in Maine. So she FedEx’ed them here and we have them. Talk about just in time!

Pics coming!

Lovely Mommies!!!

An oh so Happy Mother's Day to all of you!!!!

Your children are blessed to have you. I know that because you are such spectacular women

And on this wonderful day please remember great mothers are not perfect. Great mothers have bad days. Have bad moments. They just do. But they keep trying and keep accepting themselves and keep loving their loved ones as best as they can. It's the long haul of love not the short moments and days of insanity! Love to you all.

And yes I should be quiet because I'm unfortunately not a mother. But I simply don't care! :lmao::lovestruc

I hope all of you have a fabulous day.

And I do Mother's Day for my mom and my sisters every single year. And I cook for them.

So if you could all say a prayer for them and their continued health, through their glorious meal, I would be so thankful. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl:;)

And my poor mother. It's her birthday tomorrow (today now! Am I waking up the thread? :rotfl2:). She gets so gyped.

Thank you Lisa!

Happy Mother's Day everyone!

We are going to Lowes to get the flowers for my deck, got to do it early cause it will probably rain later today.

WOO HOO! We leave for the Port in about an hour. Went for a run around the BW area and Jeff is out on his run now. Just popping in to say hi before I frantically finish packing and making sure that all of our cruise doc are in order.

Not sure when I will check in next as internet on the ship is so spotty.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day with their mom's and / or their kids....

Erika - Have a safe voyage. Hope the seas are calm for you.

Off to go hang with mom. Catch up with you all later...

Happy Mothers Day everyone!

This is my day thus far. Up too friggin' early. At work before 8:00. Nate & Becca show up at 9:00 to work. We do a buffet brunch for about 300 people on Mothers Day.

I slave all day. With 2 of my 3 kids there. The 3rd is working at his own job. Which means Stephen is HOME ALONE. On Mother's Day. Tell me how that is fair? :confused3

We are however going out for dinner tonight. Or at least *I* am. Not cooking, that's for dang sure. ;)

Don’t laugh, but after Soarin’ we did Circle of Life and Living with the Land.

I love those too. We always would go to "Food Rocks". LOVED Food Rocks. The Peach Boys :rotfl2: oh how I miss that....

Dinner was at Chefs de France and was, get ready for it, AWFUL.

See. Now I would have said nix Coral Reef 'cause I was unimpressed there and absolutely go to Chefs de France. :confused3 How disappointing that it sucked! I've always had good experiences there.

Happy B-Day to Lisa's mom! :goodvibes I have a gf whose b-day is today. And it's my nephew's b-day as well.

I'm sad to announce that I have NOT been earning my whistle. :sad2: I only tracked ONE DAY last week. One stinkin' day. I've eaten plenty. Drank even more. And exercised a bit less. Tomorrow is a new day. New week. I'm moving forward.

GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!

RISE 'N SHINE!!

It's a beautiful day here in Connecticut! Sunny, cool..just gorgeous!

Starting my "detox" Too much of everything last week. Too much food, too much drink. Too much craziness. Today it's back to something a bit more reasonable on all accounts.

Going for a nice bike ride this morning. Flushing my system with oodles of water. Getting myself back on the right track.

How 'bout you guys? Doin' OK?? :confused3

Morning everyone, morning Nancy...:goodvibes

LisaV, how funny, my mom's birthday was on Friday. Too often they land on mother's day...

Erika, still loving the TR. I hope the cruise is going as well as the WDW visit!

Nancy, detox for me too. I have my yearly colonoscopy on Wednesday so I will be "flushing" my system also. It would be nice if you would do it for me though. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

Sounds like everyone had a great mother's day. Mine was spent sitting in the sun and wind on the side of a field hockey field all day at UNH. It was pleasant enough weather wise, I may have snuck a nap in there somewhere. :rolleyes1 Shelby's team came in third. It was a hard day. She had to share time with another, not so aggressive goalie. The games that Shelby played, the won or tied. The games that the other girl played they lost. In the playoffs, Shelby's coach had a conference with the head coach to request playing Shelby exclusively. I felt really bad for the other goalie. Shelby has been floating all season playing for the other teams and so the other girl has had the team all to herself. When Shelby does play with her originally assigned team, this is what happens. She was heartbroken and it showed. As I said, a hard day, in many ways. We stopped at Famous Daves on the way home and I got my Devils Spit burger. Love them!! And home again where David pulls his homemade card out of his backpack and gives it to me. It says Mom, you are the best mom and very nice. You rock. I love my kids!!!! ::yes::

ugh.

Add a sick kid to my equation for the day  Becca has a fever and feels like crap. Sent her back to bed...

Good Morning,

Not much going on here this morning. Spent a great day with mom yesterday and spoiled her rotten.

I totally fell off the food wagon this weekend and need to get back on track. Nothing to crazy, just too much eating out and all of the hidden calories that come with that.

My workout on Saturday was awesome. Jesse had me do a metabolic circuit where I did weighted squats, military presses, bent over rows and chest presses in succession. First 10 reps, then 9 reps, then 8, etc all the way down to one. It was exhausting, but felt good. He tells me that this type of circuit would give my metabolism a boost for the next 48 hours. Not sure if it worked yet or not, but it was a good round of weight lifting.

Amy - I saw Star Trek on Saturday and loved it. I thought it was extremely entertaining. It paid homage to the original Star Trek without being a slave to it. It was definitely fun to watch and Chris Pine was hubba hubba...

Nancy - hope Becca feels better soon...

LisaPR - I am amazed at how much pressure kids who play sports competitively are under. That is a lot to deal with at such a young age. Hope Shelby is doing all right with everything...

Hi to everyone else.....
